WOW brilliant my man that compares favourably with the Youth Hostel by the time you take everything into account! Count me IN! no longer a provisional I am defo up for that! I tried to book online with the code and that was not recognised so I phoned from Chicago and got trough first time and booked and paid for! Oh and it's La_Vida_Diver not Diva I might be a bit of a Diva but.....LOL

Not Being Funny but allocate £15 for evening meal £5 for Breakfast that makes it £25 per person for the bed. I was looking at more than that for the three nights at the Youth Hostel not a lot more but actually more! and there is the additional fun of all being together. Though the odd Bevy or two might be more expensive than take your own to the Youth Hostel.=))

Now all I have to do is get the route up sorted and maybe an overnight on the way planned. Oh and potentially all three cars up to scratch Lisa_Amerela and the Saab in case the weather is Brilliant in which case my costs to get there drop significantly and Blue in case it's not! I Might Bring Blue in any case seams a shame to relegate her to local only, not sure yet I have to have a hard think about that.
:thankyou::scorecard:

Duncan,

I stay a few miles from the hotel, if you want to trailer up the Westfield you can use my house as a base for the trailer and the car you do not use.....just a thought.

Cheers

Brian

Thanks Brian that might be great! Many thanks for the offer I will keep in touch on that score nearer the time.

By the way Congratulations on getting the Driver of the Day again at Snetterton the other day! Just shows how good the old Zed is on track! how many tracks is that now that you have won driver of the day? Just jesting no need to answer but I know of at least Silverstone and Snetterton now. Good driving my man! I am looking forward to getting my cars sorted so I can get back on track as well, mind you I will be the slowest on track to start with the Westfield is so different to drive.

@Mint I know @zedwheels is at the Cross Keys Inn, Main St. Tebay on the Thursday night if I read it right. If I decided to Join you and @Bazza on your trip up to the The Crainlarich inn on the Friday. I may stay at relatives in Biggar, South Lanarkshire but have not confirmed that but the idea of travelling up in Convoy appeals to me so I need to converse with @Bazza as well as anyone else coming from right down south. On That note is anyone else from [USERGROUP=16]@West Country[/USERGROUP] up for this including a convoy up? I am also thinking maybe of booking with @zedwheels or even doing a borders Youth Hostel or something. A single run up is 528 miles so I think a bit much to not do an overnight but I have done it before and might this time if the convoy idea does not come off and my relatives are away. I am sure @GazHyde would also join in a convoy.

Brian. Just wondering about the Hotel stay! Are we stopping at that Hotel on the night of the 26th and then returning back there after
the run out, or, will be looking to book a different hotel then for the night of the 27th elsewhere along the route?

We will base ourselves here for the duration :)

So how may nights will that be Brian? Is that the 26th/27th/28th?

Yes three nights, the hotel is in a good location for the runs on Saturday and Sunday.

Thanks Brian, hope you don't think I'm being daft but just so we know!:) So we will start making our way back home on the Bank Holiday
Monday? or do you have something planned for the Monday as well?

The main days will be Saturday/Sunday, nothing planned for Monday as this will give people a day to get home before work the next day. Maybe a lazy breakfast on the Monday before departure?

Just a thought @Brian H if we don't get the numbers who had previously put their name down do you think the hotel will increase the cost. If so we need to give the Zedders who previously put their name down a "bump" .
It will not make a difference to us but the more the merrier

Thanks for the thought, It would be nice to fill a few more rooms, I'm sure the hotel will be fine with the rates given.

Thanks

Brian

All sorted, Hotel now reserved for the three nights of the 26th, 27th and 28th.

I don't have the option to edit the first post to add us to the list.:(

Duncan I was under the impression that a couple of other guys would be traveling from down south up as per the List in the first posting :poke: (the interested list)
hopefully they are still interested:) we will have to wait and see I suspect some parties are awaiting other commitments / cost's maybe:nailbiting:
I could well be traveling up early? so we could meet up at Penrith Hotel that's already booked:computer:
we could then have a mini cruise up to the base hotel:coolsteer)

We have now booked into the Crianlarich Hotel for Saturday 27th August. We are leaving the South Coast on Wednesday 24th and driving to Chatsworth where we will stay overnight in the grounds ready for a visit around Chatsworth House on the 25th. Later that day we will head north towards Preston where are looking to stay overnight. On the 26th we will be heading to Aberfeldy where we will stay for one week, except for the overnight stay at the Crianlarich on the Saturday where we can enjoy dinner with our fellow Zedders.

@Brian H can you please add us to your list on page one please.

Ron spot on mate:thumbsup:

Looking forward to this trip Bazza. Gail has always wanted to visit Scotland and as Brian was organising a Zed cruise it seemed the perfect opportunity for us to visit. Look forward to meeting you again Bazza on @pgunter New Forest cruise.
