Please feel free to park in front of our place anytime, but only cold drinks offered cuz I spent all my money on a Z3 I don't have yet! Don't forget those pics!!

What is a little thing for some people, are huge things for others, we should all be considerate and take account of both sides, the correct thing to do was move on, but I guess some people love to cause stress to others. What you don't know is what happened before you arrived to make them mad.

If someone wants consideration then it should be returned, the actions described by Shelly would have made me do the same thing. Sorry but not all of us believe in turning the other cheek..An Eye for an Eye...

Yes I agree Jim , if the couple didn't shout at me ( before I'd even got out of the car ) I would of respected their parking space outside their home , but like I've already mentioned they should of asked not cause war the moment I started to park , manners always go along way :)
I am normally a quiet person , but don't like to be shouted at by somebody I don't know , ;)

Sort of reminds me of what a friend went through, a bit off topic but:

He owns a farm, and bred peacock's as a side line, he also had a number of properties around the farm, one of which he sold to a young well to do couple from London, they spent a fortune doing the place up, and moved in, one month after moving in they complained about the noise that the peacocks were making, took him to court as they said that peacocks were not a "farm animal" they lost, as it was decided that they knew what the were getting into when they bought the house, and that any animal bred on a farm for profit is legitamate. My point if you live on a high street in the middle of town, with no parking restrictions, you knew what you were getting into when you purchased the house.

Yes I agree Jim , you shouldn't buy a house on a busy street if you want your own parking space , and yes the high street and shops have always been their since year dot .
We moved last year but before we did move we made a list of the things we wanted the property to have :)

My old band in Sussex were playing playing a gig in a pub when a guy rushed in and said to the landlord, "I've just moved in and can clearly hear the music from my house, you must turn it down." The landlord said, "Did you know there was a pub here when you first viewed the house?" "Of course." he said. The land lord replied, "Then you must have seen our sign advertising live music, you should have stood outside the pub on a Saturday night to see if you had a problem with it before you bought the house!" The guy left!

Don't be sad Jim, the summer is almost gone and I've driven my Z just for 150 km........some confuse happenings made me to not organize holidays on the wheel....so, if until September nothing comes, we are in the same boat!

Good on you Shelley. I have done the same before when a rude woman verbally abused ma at a supermarket car park. Afterwards I worried she might scratch my car, but it was all ok.

I've done 200 mile and it's sorned now!
Whats happening with us? we dream 6 months, in the cold, to a smooth ride in the open car and in the Summer there are so many things to take our time away, that we don't fulfill the dream.... or maybe partially........:(

Sorry, I actually have no opinion on this, but thought the argument was one sided, so offered up the alternative to encourage debate, worked ;)

I am sure that the only time you can claim the space outside your home is if you have a 'disabled parking bay' and I don't think that gives you sole rights. The highway is the property of the county council and is for the legal use of everyone. We have neighbours nearby who put cones out (stolen of course) to reserve the space they wish to occupy. I don't think this is permitted by a non authorised person so you would be quite right to move the cones and park where you like. How infuriating is that! We do not own the road outside our property so we have no powers to claim it has our own parking spot.
Well done Shelley. Those folks probably need to get their facts right.
Grumpy Old Man.
