Right, who is up in West Yorkshire?

I bet you can, I will send you the next best thing though.

This isn't going to be another " To Hull and back" is it Rodders ?:)

Tony.

I'm always up for a road trip
Dell, a little more detail ,I'm free tomorrow
=))

It is isn't it? We just need a member with a big white bushy beard then.

Tony.

Oh yes Aceman, forgot about that, as being a southern softy I am never quite sure where North, South, East, West, Middle or just on the edge of Yorkshire is......;)

Pick the car up and drive it over here......:D
Buy you a cup of Dutch Tea, no milk, that's the way they drink it and its not Earl Gray.....:wideyed:
I want a coffee MIT milch

Shall we all go for the road trip haahaha =))
Babe this was proposed before with each person contributing a needed part for the car. That way if we get into HT's buddy's bar and nothing gets done at least all the parts would be there. Holland is my second fav country and they love Canadians for their liberation. Free beer flows like a dam broke so I'm up for it for sure!! Just have to break it to my wife that I'm leaving and get my passport renewed. JIM

Whats your game plan @hard top Bring it down south for me to overhaul then you drive it home? Or take it to bits scrap the shell take all the bits home in a trailer. ;)

'koffie met melk' Jim, we don't speak German over here. Shame on you after liberating the place and all that.....any how, you would be getting 'Hertog Jan' as I only offered Aceman tea as he is tea total.

@Lee had not really thought about it much to be honest other than wing it without the MOT, the Dutch police would not be able to check for that and it would only be squeaky bum time getting on the ferry I would have thought, or maybe not.
Could also stick Dutch trade plates on it.
If I used Newcastle, the ferry comes in just a couple of few clicks down the road from me.

I do have friends that can write MOT's for such purposes (Waits for Tony to shoot me) And the fee is relatively small. But i will not get one done if the car is a death trap for obvious reasons. So you have options @hard top :writing:

@Lee thanks, I had thought about offering @t-tony some 'baksheesh'....;)
What are the chances of getting done by the traffic boys on a one way trip?
I have used the ferry many times but had never thought about them checking your car reg when you give it to them when booking, if indeed they do?
And driving on Dutch trade plates in the UK might make things worse?

There are a lot of cameras on roads that can alert police that you are driving unlicensed ,uninsured ,no MOT but if you have the others they would be very bored to pull you up for no mot and if you have already booked it in for one at a garage you are allowed to drive it to the garage or something like that .Tony might have more details

I think your best bet is a bigger transport with multicar capacity heading across the channel and deliver to whatever address you choose. With a trailer you need to pay the ride both ways plus your time, etc. the big carrier solves the problem of needing someone else driving a truck and trailer. It cost me less than £1000 to ship my car half way across Canada, how expensive can it be to cross the Channel? JIM

Sorry, I'm so multi lingual sometimes my brain scrambles in the wrong tongue. My apologies to all my Dutch friends.
