I second that. The mods are not over the top they sort of sit in the middle. the spoiler will be the main talking point folk will either love it or hate it, i think it looks good with the styling you have done

It's all about individuality. We don't all dress the same and we don't all decorate our homes to look the same. One man's meat is another man's poison and all that.
Your car looks ok, the spoiler looks better on your zed than the OEM ones they put on the back of Scoobies and Mitzi's

Thanks for the down to earth comments. Appreciated. Rha.Roy
This was my main bone of contention with bonzo, we're not all the same. It's your car Roy to do with as you want. TBH I'm not a big fan of the spoiler but it has nothing to do with me. It's a lovely car mate.

Tony.

Thanks Tony, I knew when fitting it that it would probably be one of very few if not the only one in the country, which makes it unpopular. Just think if all the Z3Ms came out with this spoiler as OEM, you can bet your bottom dollar it would have been mimicked. As you say Tony each to his own, but between you and me I've more than once gone round to my garage and got the spanner (10mm) out but changed my mind. It'll stay on for now untill I've found something not so in yer face to replace it.;)

Quick update on the progress of getting my Z updated and reliability work. First I spotted the serpentine fan belts cracking across the Vs so decided to replace them and thought because of the mileage (80,000) the water pump and pully bearings must be suspect. Off with the belts and sure enough w/pump had play along with the tension pully wheels, but the fan clutch was fine. Mechanical tensioner on main belt was replaced with updated hydrolic type and the air con belt tensioner was allready hyd type so the wheel only was replaced, the water pump had bearing noise with some play and plastic impeller so changed that for nice new metal one from GSF. All done in the warm sunshine of today which makes a change from lying on the freezing cold concrete of last two months. All this and still have noise on tickover, so thinking double vanos oil rings which I allready purchased few months ago, all I have to do now is find someone to fit them cos that's a step too far for me.:meh:

Another update is the ice package which the wife helped me get for Xmas, this is the first time ever for me DIY ice in any car I've owned and purchased a set of plastic interior tools which was an absolute godsend for £20, went with the popular Alpine + Hertz speaker swap, replaced all the speakers except the door tweeters ( can't shift the covers at the moment ) Hertz EXC 100.5 (4.5inch)with combined tweeters in the rear behind the seats, Hertz DSK 130.5 (6.5inch) in the footwell, the passenger side oem speaker had a metal bracket attached which housed a printed circuit board wired to this speaker so used it as it was all part of the oem wiring which I decided to use, the Alpine CDE183BT Head Unit was then added and the reproduction of the classical music from BBC radio was nothing less than brilliant, pop music from other stations was very good and the BT connected first time, my hearing at the moment is undergoing a spell of investigation and I'll have to get a confirmed opinion from a enthusiast with good taste and hearing on how it should be set up, never the less for about £300 it's made such an improvement I can't think why I've waited so long to do something with it. Next will be the sub box build for between the roll over bars plus amp to run it.

Sub box built and fitted but not wired the the mid range woofer to the amp yet, purchased all the speeker wire needed to re wire system to new amp along with twin shielded RTAs. When new suspension is fitted this will be the next job on the cards. Not looking forward to trying to conceal wireing and the work this entails but never the less will take it on instead of farming it out. Couple of pics in case you've missed my previous write up.

Shame I haven't finished the wireing yet but if it sounds as good as it's turned out I'll be well pleased.
Did manage to install the door tweeters useing OEM tweeter holders and some decent glue.

Your car looks exceptional and that sub woofer solution is the best I've seen!

Thank you David, but it's not wired, SO the proof of the pudding is no doubt in the eating (so to speak,) fingers crossed. With the positive comments so far it does make it all worth while. I'm busy with the new suspension this next week so the wireing is on the back burner for now, if it turns out really good (sound wise) I'll try and get it recorded, if not  you'll never know.=))

Thanks Hugh, not many like it but it does make a good conversation piece and so people remember the car, and don't forget the extra speed it gives me round corners. ( or so the salesman told me )...........=))

Roy.
And it stops sheep rolling off the boot lid too .......................................... ;)=))
