I didn't say there was anything wrong with the wheels though did I? And I'm not sure why you'd think that as I complimented the car and was sympathetic that you were snubbed by the magazine.

But they only came in 15" which is why many people change them as they look a little small in the wheel arch. The point was you'd resisted that temptation to keep the car original.
I know you didn't say anything wrong...

I put some pictures on the Z3 page on Facecloth & some people took the micky out of my 'biscuit wheels'

Anyone that knows me know I am a delicate & sensitive flower (honest:angelic:) so I don't want anybody criticising my baby as they might hurt her feelings! :wtf::rage:

You might have to get used to my sense of humour!

@Geoff Rutland I like your colour and your original z line alloys :)( which look in really nice condition ) Lynne's Torqouise green zed should have them on it as they were the original fit alloy now has style 25 fitted but I am toying with the idea of acquiring a set at some point

Mine were in pretty poor condition and put them on the car I took my 18s off, this car then got scrapped with them still on, I was a bit annoyed when I found out. But then they are faiely cheap to buy and refurb.

I'll be up for it, and i dont live far from Rockingham. Mine's standard apart from a new gear knob and exhaust, but i still have the originals and can put them back on.
Bodywork is in good condition, odd imperfection here and there as expected, but well kept.
It's just done 90k miles but still good.
Is it worth a call to see if the colour is regarded German enough???
What does everyone think??

I'd give it a go @Fraser. Looks pretty good to me. And although not grey or black I'd say it's a fair colour being "bond"

Well..............

I got a message back this morning saying.................

.........they like the car and they want to use it!! :woot:

John-Joe is sending me some more information over the next few days as to when and where etc.

All I can think of now is all the jobs that need doing on it before i would consider it "battle ready"!!

I feel an awful lot of pressure all of a sudden.............

Based on the modified letter now on .net they ideally want a subdued colour like black or grey.

So now we know what a German colour is. I think I might be ever so slightly offended if I was German as people tend to regard those colours as sombre!

But I would think blue also fits that description or maybe Boston Green.

Good luck with the experience @Fraser .

ok what we need to do now is to fit a large reed valve to the underside of the airbox, we can call it the fogged valve, just to make sure, a stealthy performance mod :)
