Dave, I cannot remember the last time I saw a vehicle up on bricks or sat on it's hubs mate, as well as that most vehicles have an alarm which would protect from jacking up anyway.

Been a long time since I heard of anyone having their wheels stolen, 20-30 years ago happened all the time, but pretty much all cars come with alloys these days, no need to nick them.
