Does the rear top strut have any effect on the boot welds issue.

I don't have that problem yet, but it would be good to know.

I doubt it very much, as it is the diff that rips the boot floor to bits.

...and absolutely nothing to say you are likely to ever have an issue. Keep an occasional eye on the diff hanger and the welds in the boots but otherwise just drive it ;)

It's a 2.2 with a short ratio LSD and M pack suspension on 17s.

The rear seems very stable now, do you think I would see a benefit with the strut brace?

I already have an ally front strut brace and that's brilliant.

Does the front strut braze work with the later (2001 and 2002) S54 equipped M Roadster? Thanks!

Thanks @t-tony !

I apologize for not introducing myself. I just got too excited about Anthony's strut braces. :)

I am in the San Francisco East Bay Area and am the original owner of a 2002 BMW M Roadster. She was once a daily driver but now enjoys the life of a garage queen that only does weekend duty. :)

It's nice to see that after all this time there are still avid enthusiasts of these cars.

There sure are, although I have to plead guilty in buying a Z4 3.0 recently, it has only done 17,000 miles from new in 2003. We're having a meet up near my home this weekend so I'm sure you'll see some comment and pictures afterwards. We go over to Florida to our villa a couple of times a year but the nearest we ever got to you was a trip to Vegas a few years back.

Tony.
