So tonight I did the final touches. Fitted the DAB stereo and changed the fuel filter. Then a final drive on my own to make sure shes ready to go out into the wild again.

I'll start with the fuel filter: The 3.0 has a different filter to all the other zeds. It has a fuel regulator on the top. As a rule of thumb you change the filters every 15,000 miles, this one however has been on since the factory =)) Also these filters have two lines in compared to the single line in on the others.
Old one with the date of when it was produced.

Next Philip requested being able to listen to planet rock. So i installed a Pioneer MVH-290DAB this stereo has DAB,Spotify also both types of ports on the front.

The antenna I tucked down low on the passenger side of the windscreen.

That concludes bluebirds build, she's ready for the next 16 years :D
Excellent work as always.
I bet she'll drink a whole lot better now she's got a new filter

What can I say @Lee, she looks fantastic. Thank you to everyone who helped work on her. I won't be listening to planet rock on Sunday when I pick her up, more like planet exhaust :):):).
:thankyou:

Bluebird is back home :):):):):):):):):):):):):).
She has been very well looked after by everyone at the Zed Shed. She is not the same car I drove up to Basingstoke 3 weeks ago.
She sits lower, and looks meaner than when she left . The BIG difference is when you drive her. Everything feels tighter and more precise than before. The handling is fantastic. The car is planted when you push her hard into bends. There is no back wheel twitch anymore when pushing hard. The difference is fantastic. I can wholeheartedly recommend the work @Lee ,@pgunter and @Oldguysrule have done. Bluebird now feels like the sports car I always knew she could be.
The car now stops on a sixpence thanks to the brake upgrade, giving me huge confidence, unlike the previous set up.
It is up to me now to finish the job by sorting out new tyres all round, and then getting the tracking and geometry done.
Once this is complete, I'm sure the car will feel even better and tighter on the road.
I cannot thank all the boys ( and @Shortie_gal ) enough for all their superb work on my behalf. Keep up the great work, everyone appreciates it greatly. I'm sure Bluebird will be back to see you again.
THANK YOU. Phil.

Wouldn't touch them with a greasy pole, dodgy as you like! :D
Seriously tho, these zed sheds are fantastic, true camaraderie amungst like minded people. What starts out as a car forum soon becomes more apparent about the friendships that are built. A real credit to you.
