Photography talk , post up your images.

Have got many from my arctic circle cruise, but all from my iPhone and trying to keep it steady whilst it was brass monkeys out (i.e. -20ºc + windchill on deck) was not the easiest...

Went for a wee walk in Culross to get some architecture photos and this Audi was having a photoshoot done ~ I snuck in a couple of cheeky photos for myself, this being my favourite ...

The Keyhole nebula in Eta Carina. 80 x 60 second subs...Processed in a new way for me.. Stack all the images on top of each other, then remove the stars as a separate image, stretch the background nebulosity to bring out detail you would not see without blowing out the stars if they there.. then treat the stars separately with correction for roundness etc.. then put them back..

I did get away to dark skies, only to find out that just about everyone is burning off ready for the dry season, I should have stayed home...

Best I could do...:(

The only thing I really achieved was to verify that the AEF I fitted, "Automatic Electronic Focus" as seen here, actually worked.
And it did, I could fall asleep for hours pretending to take pictures...

What I do when I'm not doing Z things...

Music, cold beer, camp fire, astro at night, a swimming hole, and an ATV to blast around on, with nobody around.

Shame your old mate Zephyr never made it out there, bet you pair would have got up to some antics over a few beers!
Those Roo's (not that we get many around these parts), are they aggressive if you get anywhere near them or do they turn tail and hop off?
You certainly know how to live
P.S any nasties in that pool?

Roos are timid creatures, thousands of years of being whacked in the side of the head by a boomerang type of fear. yes Zephyr would have loved it. Nasties in the pool ?, its actually a spring it only pops out of the ground for about 300 meters , but still has little fish in it, good for a nice pedicure ..
