Never thought I'd see Philadelphia talked about on this site. Interesting! I grew up an hour north in the suburbs. Went to school at Temple in North Philly. Then preceded to live there for ten years, age 20-30. Fishtown, Queen Village, Rittenhouse, Manayunk and I think that's it. It's a cool place to hang out when your 22, but if you've got any sort of sense of wonder, your mind can turn into an absolute hell hole if you spend too much time there. Several friends of mine got held on the ground at gunpoint in their apartments. I got mugged for $5 once outside the Barbary in Fishtown by some dude with a stupid Glock and no idea how to use it. Now that I'm on the other side of the USA, I can safely say the one thing I miss about Philadelphia is that it has some of the best running and walking trails and historical neighborhoods in the country. I miss the nice neighborhoods of that city a lot. They're up there with Manhattan and Boston. If you want to understand the "728" number, take your Z for a ride north on Broad street past Temple for day. Keep the top and the revs up!
Interested to hear how European cities compare to US cities in terms of this gun violence, drug abuse stuff. Been to most in the US with the exception of LA and Vegas and man do they all blend together after a while...
