Hello!

I've had my zed for just 6 weeks and I'm absolutely loving it. I've learnt so much on this forum and I'm looking forward to meeting up with some of you.

I've given her a full detail and upgraded a few simple little things that overall make a big difference. She's looking better then ever!

- Storm Motorwerks brushed stainless steel handbrake handle
- @Southernboy BMW Z3 Armrest
- K+N 57i Performance Induction Kit
- Wiechers Sport Strut Bar
- New roof fitted
- Sourced, refurbished and fitted Style 78 wheels with new emblems
- New tyres - Continental Premium Contact 6: Front - 225/45 R17 91Y & Rear - 245/40 R17 91Y
- Oil and filter change using Castrol Edge 0w-30 and the MANN HU 925 Oil FIlter. Also with a Gold Plug AP-11 Magnetic sump bolt
- Changed the spark plugs. The existing plugs were NGK BMW R5 spark plugs and changed to Bosch Super Plus FGR7DQP+
- Restored the headlights using the 3M Headlight Restoration Kit.
- Removed the spare wheel and spare wheel rack.
- Installed new chrome kidney grills
- Installed new side vent BMW emblems
- Installed the 'DENSION Gateway Lite BT' to my existing original head unit for bluetooth connectivity
- New Bosch S5 Type 096 Battery
- New speakers: Hertz DSK130.3 for the front and Hertz DCX 100.3 for the rear
- Bilstein B12 Pro Suspension Kit with Bilstein B8 Shocks
- Powerflex Rear Shock Top Mount bracket and bushes

- Gearbox oil change using 2L of Red Line D4 ATF.
- LSD oil change using 2L of Castrol Syntrax Limited Slip 75W 140.
- Installed BMWP E81 1 series aluminium pedal covers. BMW don't supply official aluminium pedal covers for the Z3 but I noticed that the dimensions are identical to my 1 series pedals and that the performance pedal covers should fit, which they did.
- Install new fuel filter. Mann-Filter WK 532/1/
- New front bumper, number plate holder and new number plates. A colleague at work decided to accidentally reverse into my car which unfortuantely caused some damage. This resulted in BMW supplying, spraying and fitting a brand new front bumper which was annoying at the time but it looks so much better now.
- New stainless steel cat-back exhaust fabricated and installed by Fast Road Conversions. Their first exhaust sounded incredible but was very loud and amazing but it gave me a headache on the drive home which was a shame. I took it back down there a few days after and they played around with it and it now sounds incredible. It sounds exactly what it was meant to sound from the factory!

To do list:
- Replace the worn rear light cluster gasket
- Contemplate installing a bundle of parts I bought from a forum member in November but this would definitely be the most 'car mechanic' job I've ever done.
--- Hepu water pump, metal impeller part no 201 11 0122
--- Behr Mahle thermostat and housing OH quality
--- Ina belt tensioner part no 533 0015 10
--- Meyle alternator and power steering belts part no 53-16060 0005/HD

Wish list:
- Black Extended Leather
- Black heated Sport Seats
- Rear view mirror upgrade as the standard one is huge!

Beautiful, and well done. I also have a 3.0 in Oxford Green and love it. Your paint is in much better condition than mine so I am envious. Have fun!

Lovely and rare model in that colour.
Some 78's will finish it off and give it the sporting touch.
I think @Brian H still has a set. Don't come up for sale often as an undamaged set.

Miss mine...

Like the caliper paint job but looks like you need to polish that bootlid more. There is a weird reflection of a bloke with iPhone for a face!!!!

Pics to follow but I've been fairly busy researching new parts and upgrades

- K+N Performance cone filter waiting to be installed
- Polished chrome strut brace waiting to be installed
- Car booked in to have a new softtop fitted on the 25th October

- Gave Fast Road Conversions a visit for a quote for a new exhaust. They quoted £750ish for a full system (excluding cat) which would sound to my preference. They advised that they had one 3.0i owner want a straight through system, they advised that it would be extremely loud on this engine. He wanted it none the less but he was back 2 weeks later saying it was too loud.

- Still trying to get hold of a decent set of 17" Style 78 wheels
