Hello!
I've had my zed for just 6 weeks and I'm absolutely loving it. I've learnt so much on this forum and I'm looking forward to meeting up with some of you.
I've given her a full detail and upgraded a few simple little things that overall make a big difference. She's looking better then ever!

- Oil and filter change using Castrol Edge 0w-30 and the MANN HU 925 Oil FIlter. Also with a Gold Plug AP-11 Magnetic sump bolt
- Changed the spark plugs. The existing plugs were NGK BMW R5 spark plugs and changed to Bosch Super Plus FGR7DQP+
- Restored the headlights using the 3M Headlight Restoration Kit.
- Removed the spare wheel and spare wheel rack.
- Installed new chrome kidney grills
- Installed new side vent BMW emblems
- Installed the 'DENSION Gateway Lite BT' to my existing original head unit for bluetooth connectivity
- New Bosch S5 Type 096 Battery

- Installed BMWP E81 1 series aluminium pedal covers. BMW don't supply official aluminium pedal covers for the Z3 but I noticed that the dimensions are identical to my 1 series pedals and that the performance pedal covers should fit, which they did.
- Install new fuel filter. Mann-Filter WK 532/1/
- New front bumper, number plate holder and new number plates. A colleague at work decided to accidentally reverse into my car which unfortuantely caused some damage. This resulted in BMW supplying, spraying and fitting a brand new front bumper which was annoying at the time but it looks so much better now.
- New stainless steel cat-back exhaust fabricated and installed by Fast Road Conversions. Their first exhaust sounded incredible but was very loud and amazing but it gave me a headache on the drive home which was a shame. I took it back down there a few days after and they played around with it and it now sounds incredible. It sounds exactly what it was meant to sound from the factory!
To do list:
- Replace the worn rear light cluster gasket
- Contemplate installing a bundle of parts I bought from a forum member in November but this would definitely be the most 'car mechanic' job I've ever done.
--- Hepu water pump, metal impeller part no 201 11 0122
--- Behr Mahle thermostat and housing OH quality
--- Ina belt tensioner part no 533 0015 10
--- Meyle alternator and power steering belts part no 53-16060 0005/HD
Wish list:
