Fair enough, but don't forget these car's were late 80's and cutting edge.
I prefer them to a Z8 (sorry Rev).......:depressed:

FFS Bad Boy. James Bond?
Marketing, as they did with the Z3.
A mint Z1 is and always will be worth more than your ///M.

The amount of air time both the Z3 and the Z8 appeared in both Bond films was tiny compared to some of the other cars tied in with advertising contracts. One of the two short scenes in Golden Eye could easily have been mistaken for a car advert anyway. I'm talking about the drive along a dirt road to get to the plane. In fact, that plane probably was onscreen for more time than the Z3. I wonder if there is a plane forum out there somewhere with owners saying they have the Bond plane from Golden Eye.

It always makes me chuckle when people say they are Bond cars. Lets face it, if Bond chose his own car it would be the DB5, which has had more airtime than all the other Bond cars put together. It's the one and only car I associate with Mr Bond.

Product placement sucks.

The lotus esprit and Aston Martin vantage were classics too.

I will watch this with interest. The car was recently for sale at 25K. Looked nice, but the history of the programme is of slap dash tart and sell. We'll see what transpires.

It will be interesting whether your a fan of the Z1 or not. A purchasing lesson!!!

I tried to speak to a couple of owners at the Silverstone Classic the other day. Went back two or three times, but they were not interested in talking to anyone but their own little group. They new I was there and wanted a chat, but just kept talking amongst themselves whilst watch their cars like a hawk. One even checked that I hadn't brushed up against his pride and joy while I walked around it, then went back to chatting. Shame on them!

I didn't sit with the car but showed several people around it during the day. Had them sit in it and chatted to them about it. Had one guy crawling under the rear valance to show him the strengthening bar I'd had fitted. Met another two Z8 owners (One of them was the Beaulieu motor museum chap) and enjoyed doing it.

One of the pleasures in owning a nice car is to share it with others. People are interested. Why go to a show if you're don't want to share the experience.

Hey ho!

Your right about the z1 owners nick.
I've noticed that as well.

If your not in the 'in' crowd you get no time of day.

Sad but true gents. Have noticed that on another forum.
But, in reality, you are just as bad Bad Boy, with your 'I own a ///M and I look down on non ///M owners'
Go and play with your 75.
At least our cars get driven (and crashed)

I don't look down on anyone ht, never have.

I'm nothing like the z1 boys or most of the bmwcc people.

You don't even know me mike.

I may have a laugh about the 1.9 but that is a private one between me and reddyzeds.
