Number Plates

Have read on a couple off forums that some Zedders have problems with number plates becoming loose
from the double side sticky tap. could not see what the problem was until I moved Zelda out of the garage and then I saw it number plate ends started to detach from the backing, so decided to take plate of and re-fix but then it struck me the plate material is plastic so it needs a bit of moulding for the backing plate see photo's as to how I fixed it.
1st fill sink with hot water and suspend plate with weight this will mould plate to wanted shape being plastic it will retain this shape it took me about 10 min's
2nd keep checking for desired shape when obtained dry and then fix with the usual double sided tap

Great tip Bazza, I used a hair dryer to heat the centre of the plate and then bent the plate around my knee until the plate cooled.

Much better than my attempt to try something similar. I bought new plates when I put my private plate on a while back. Started to bend them as soon as I got them home, but should have left it a while longer it peeled straight away.

With the latest front plate I have I doubled the sticky strips up on each end as that helps reduce the angle it needs to bend. Ended up with about 5mm on the extreme ends of the plates, and then 2.5mm a few inches in from that, with nothing in the central section. No issues so far though.
