What kind of bone head mentality is that ?.
Now they've got to pick them up off the floor and put them back on the trailer he through them through :wacky:.

Probably a severe lack of team work I reckon. Bloody Knobheads.:(:(. But now they're famous cos they're on YouTube for their moment of fame mate.

Tony.

Hope the aircrew and engineers have a bit more interest in their jobs:(

Why your cases get battered, ripped and generally smashed even on their first trip. (This has happened to us more than once with brand new cases).

Shirl showed me this earlier today from one of her Orlando forums. Unbelievable !!

Tony.
Totally believable, people doing those jobs aren't bothered most likely got a chip on their shoulder, should have done better at school!

I have heard about this before :p
They make a game of it :(
To see who can do the most damage :(

Saw this on fb earlier. Just beggars belief. Zero respect and double the work.
I've always said if you don't like your job move on and let someone have it that will appreciate it. Tossers.

Soon put a stop to it. Make the guy pay for damage and replacement. Will probably take weeks to clear.
Put a GoPro out randomly to monitor behaviour. That’ll be a great deal cheaper than paying for damage.

You could bet your bottom dollar that that was all captured on security cameras and the only reason anything may be done is because Joe Public filmed and publicised them acting like that. Otherwise nothing would've been said.

Tony.

Yes agree,Val had a new hand luggage bag which they wanted to put in the hold cost £60 after one trip it's ruined.

Puts me off flying even more, I don't mind the being on the plane, untill the retard in front reclines their seat, even on a short flight :meh:. I just hate airports in general .......so there :dummy1:.

You must fly on a fancy airline, easyjet stopped reclining seats years back, how I wish it could recline!

Nothing causes more aggro on aeroplanes that reclining seats, especially during meal service.

Tony.

Most security cameras will be set up for monitoring vehicle and aircraft movements. Even if caught on camera resolution wouldn’t be good enough to identify individuals.

Many of today’s suitcases are engineered for lightness. They’re good but don’t feel robust. We’ve a pair of old but heavy duty plastic. They’ve survived many trips and still going strong.

Would be good poll to have on tripadvisor so you could report damaged luggage returned to you by airlines. You would soon see good airports and handling agents from bad.

Hate that too. Especially when the pilot does it

I doubt they would have to be good enough to identify the handlers involved as there will be a record, air side, of who is working where and at what time. (from someone who works at Manc. Airport.)
Agree about the strength of cases but that's still no excuse to "handle" them as he was, let alone the other idiot who stood and watched him, without stopping him or even picking the bags up off the ground.
A poll is ok, until you still need to fly to your destination from where the crap handler(s) work, like we do from Manc.
Also all the idiots don't just work there, we've seen the same behaviour at Orlando Int., Atlanta, Miami and Sanford too.

You don’t know which end caused the damage. However, when a good airport (must be some surely) gets slammed they’re going to cry foul quickly and point the finger at the other end.

Is it time I wonder to photograph your cases before you hand them over.
Or everyone turn up with much stronger flight cases. Have to drive over those with a truck to damage them - dare say they’d try even that.

It didn't look as though the guy in the video checked the condition of the bags before he launched them so he would have a leg to stand on if he was accused of damage.
In general it's true that two sets of handlers have access to your bags between you checking them in and collecting them on arrival, but in this particular case there's no escaping a very poor consideration of a passengers belongings regardless of the condition it was in before it came down the shute.
We buy lighter construction cases so that you have a better "payload" when coming home but if it is out weighed by the cost of replacing cases every so often, I don't know.:(
