Just dropped my Z4 off with @Russell O for him to weave his magic on the paintwork. Russ couldn't wait to get stuck in :-

All I have to do is sit in the sun and drink beer. A fair swap me thinks

@Brian4 arrived while Russ and I were chatting- I think Russ's place might turn into a different Zed shed

Nice its gonna look great if Gaz's is anything to go by
It's a great looking car already. Always get comments on the colour combo. It's going to look uber good afterwards. After the wheels have been refurbished am hoping it's going to be one of the best

To be one of the best it would need to be a Z3 =))
It'll look excellent Ian

I think you're delusional Steve =))

There in fact some top Z3s out there - they're different but I wouldn't say Z3 is better than the Z4 or the other way around to be honest.

I best get my finger (Polisher) out then.

Just been decontaminated around badges and rubbers etc and now sitting in the shop ready for Paint readings tomorrow. Thought I would give it a little whirl with 3M fast cut to see how hard the paint is,(yes it's well hard =))) but will hit it with some different combos tomorrow and some wet flat here and their.

Montego Blue, Beautiful colour and the combo with the leather is spot on...
108s would look stunning on this. The only wheel to have on a Z4 IMO.

Will post some pics up as we go along so Ian can keep an eye on things whilst sitting on a beach sipping cocktails.

Enjoy your holiday mate...

Only wants to do it for the pleasure, pick and choose what to take on and do them without pressure. sounds idyllic.
I think we can help Russ achieve whatever objective he wishes ;)

@Redline , now, I know @Bozzy was casting envious glances towards your rear spoiler on my behalf but don't you send him out to a foreign land (Lincs.) armed with a jack and wheel brace! =))=))

Good start, Just make sure you give it a good wash before hand to get the muck from behind things like door handles, number plates etc,
Good tip.
Buy some very cheap All purpose cleaner from Asda/Tesco, about 40pence and a soft paint brush (Put some tape round the metal parts) and go round with your hose cleaning door handles, Badges, Window rubbers etc.

I learnt quickly. Use plenty of fluid and use the clay in straight not circular motion. Use clean areas of clay and fold it and compress it to get new clean bits. Warm it up if it's stiff.
You'll be amazed what it brings off and you can feel and hear it gathering up the contaminants off the paint. Have fun
