Hello all. I have been a "car guy" since the late 70s and have owned a lot of neat cars over the years. I just sold my most recent project car (1965 Ford Mustang) and went shopping this weekend for a new summer "play car". We found and purchased a jet black 1997 Z3 (1.9) with 66K miles on it in great shape. The only immediate fixes I need to accomplish are fixing a broken fog light and the odometer dash light is out. I have already ordered the light bulbs for the dash and two fog lights to make sure they match. The other thing I would like to do soon is replace the foggy rear plastic window. I am still researching how that is accomplished, but I have found a couple of things mentioning a zipper. I have not picked the car up yet, but I did not notice the zipper, so I am assuming it is somewhat hidden inside the car. I did notice some white stitching on the outside of the window, so I was assuming it had to be sewn in. This will be my 3rd roadster (had a 2003 Corvette and a 1927 Ford that was a bit of a chore to drive). Looking forward to learning from this site and gathering whatever knowledge you folks are willing to pass on. I live up near Seattle, so the sunny days will be here soon! Thanks, Glenn
