SK02 FLY got some new boots (again) earlier this afternoon.

Looks awesome and I'm delighted with how the AC's look fitted.. so this weekends job is to swap out springs for apex -35mm's and complete headlight de clouding.

Then it's onto refitting body panels and bumpers when they return from painters next week...
Have you any photos of the ACs fitted?

Well we are getting closer to getting the car MOT'd after another productive day today...

Repainted bumpers, cill(s) and side panels fitted and aligned, headlights, spotlights etc cleaned and managed to de cloud them and re fit (will need aligned I'd imagine!).... fitted induction kit hopefully for the final time (just need another bracket made up to secure in position). New fixings used on all as wasn't faffing about with old rusty screws, or brittle plastic.

Refitted door cill trim c/w with new clips and fixings.

New number plates fitted too.

So... the list gets smaller and the jobs are getting done.

What remains to be done:
1. Wheel arch liner reinstatement.
2. Under seal / paint the underside where spare wheel used to live.
3. Fit new SW and the nice new plush floor mats that my friend Barry sourced for both my Z and his.
4. Tracking and alignments all round.
5. Change oil / filters as car has sat pretty much still since last oil change back in October / service.
6. Finish painting brake calipers... not sure whether to continue with the blue or go factory....
7. MOT pre inspection and check over.
8. MOT!!!
9. Valet and detailing, give her back her sparkle!

Thereafter it's a new roof, SS exhaust and enjoy it for a bit....

It's great you getting close to having it in the road again.
Top top re the exhaust - that takes priority over a leaking roof and other jobs!

So yesterday and today I thought I'd made great progress towards getting my 2.2 sport back on the road... going great guns lots ticked off on the to do lists until I decided I'd run it up and down my street and then disaster strikes....

No throttle at all!

Car sits and idles fine but pressing the throttle pedal does nothing.

Done a bit of 'googling' earlier tonight and would suggest it's a throttle body problem, but then I seen some people having the same issue and it related to camshaft sensors...

Anyone have any ideas??!!

Need to wait until next week now to get diagnostics machine onto it to check courtesy of @barryrobertson.

One step forward, three back as no doubt I'll need to start stripping bits off it again to fix, and here was me thinking I was done pulling bits of it too fix!

Shame too as it was starting to look the part!!!

I didn't know a cam/crank sensor could do that, I've just had poor running but yours is a fly by wire throttle so may react differently. Will need codes read I guess but I've heard of others, I think it's was @GazHyde running a 2.2 with a dodgy sensor for ages.

Cam sensors on mine Dino, had to replace both eventually. Was down a bit of power and MPG, but otherwise ran without symptoms.

So after a diagnostic check it appears my throttle issue relates to camshaft sensors... so two have been ordered to rectify the situation.

Whilst we are there we are going to carry out an engine flush and fresh oil / filter as the cars sat since September with the same oil in it and we want her singing well on all cylinders for her forthcoming date with the MOT inspector (date tbc shortly).

Oddly however the diagnostic machine picked up no other faults but I have an airbag warning light and engine management light is still on so we'll need to get it into garage to get that investigated!

You will need to get the airbag light sorted before the M.O.T. Craig. EM light doesn't matter re the test.

Tony.
