Hi,my name is Kieron and I'm a 59 yr English man living in Ireland.
I have owned a BMW z3 1.9 for around 6yrs and try to have it on the road every summer.Just wondering if all z3 s are a little twitchy and tram line a bit.If so any way to improve without needing a bank loan. I would be grateful for any ideas.thanks Kieron

Hi and welcome from Mansfield Notts. Tram lining is a common discussion on here. Mine is quite bad sometimes and the general theory is suspension and tyres. I need to replace both!

Tyres are another hot topic Kieron, lots of debate on them. @GazHyde will add you to the M44 Massive when he can, these are members who have the same cars as you 1.9 Z3 and they will be happy to share their experiences I'm sure. Anyway, a warm welcome from me near Lincoln UK.:)

Tony.

As for tram lining, mine used to follow anything at all, could never
Relax one handed driving always waiting for it to go for a walk!
Pirelli tyres were fitted CURED no suspension on strut brace
No poly bushes just tyres instant remedy, could not believe
I drove out of the garage with what felt like a new car:):):):):):):)

Hi from Canada! My 1.9 has a cheap no name brand and I get very little tramlining at all. Only on really bad road surfaces does it rear it's ugly head but still one handed control so I think I lucked out! Good luck! JIM
