Hi Andrew
Have you checked the micro switch in the roof frame , it's in the frame on the passenger side behind a plate held on with two screws , this was the fault on my car when the roof failed , to test I held the two wires from the switch together and bingo roof worked

had a look seems a shame to cut the wires in the roof
do you know if those cables appear in the boot ?
so I could at least have a chance of making a new connection if it solves nothing ?

cheers

Hi
I didn't need to cut any wires as they are fixed to the micro switch with spade connectors , just disconnect and tape together

Ok, may be worth tracing the wires back towards the boot as I'm sure when I looked to replace mine a new one came with a two pin connector on the other end and was only about two roof long so could be connection towards the rear of the roof ,
Any way of using a multi meter to check continuity , perhaps just pierce wires behind micro switch with multimeter ends
There is a how to on here if you go to the Articles list at the top of the page there is a how to there
