Too busy...
Well, the garden was finished which I never posted pics of
And the next big update was because of this. Ignore the lines on the floor, that was something I was planning.
After only a few days the paint was starting to lift, as the months have gone on it's only gotten worse so I found a solution. I could keep painting it or better still epoxy resin it. But I went with this.
No more peeling paint, no more cold concrete floor. It's easier to hoover and clean as well. Jacking up the car is no issue on them, if you leave the car on axle stands for a while it will leave an impression but it does reform to the original shape. I use some thin wooden panels under the jack / axle stands though just for a bit of extra protection.

Excellent floor job, son has done the same to his integral garage which he uses as a Gym, had enough left over to do his shed floor as well. Certainly makes it easier to keep clean and comfortable to work on.

Never been quite sure if these tiles stand up to the rigours of garage floor duty. What brand or supplier did you use?
Another project here that's been waiting years to get off the ground. Our garage floor is very uneven and poor quality concrete. I levelled it off with resin many years ago but it has worn back probably due to insufficient depth. So, the floor is uneven again. The garage isn't really big enough to work on cars inside anyway. Might just stay at the planning stage.

Love this thread! just read the whole thing. I did the same with the rubber flooring tiles, much nicer to work on.

I used a company called fastfloor, contact them through Facebook for their best prices. I think the do a single garage kit for around £275, just black tiles.

I paid £345 for mine Tony, it's around 19' x 10' so your probably looking around £600? I know their prices are about to rise, they were much cheaper than other competitors. I don't know how they would take the weight of you ramp and car on them, but you could leave that area clear. They are much nicer to work on than a cold concrete floor. I do use a foam mat on top as well though if I'm kneeling down to work. I haven't had much chance to do any work on the car in there yet though. I'm sure I'll be mopping up oil off them next time I do an oil change and miss the pan
Fastfloor use exactly the same tiles as bigdug but were a lot cheaper. The price I had through fastfloors website was around £430 delivered, I contacted them through Facebook and they did me them for £345 delivered.
