Thank you sooo much. Yes, booked in for a full service on Monday.

So, I took a little trip to Halfords this afternoon and bought the Autoglynn Cabriolet roof cleaner and protector, car shampoo, car polish, leather cleaner and balm, new floor mats, new bucket and sponge and a sheepskin cloth.

Can't wait for the weekend so I can get stuck in lol
@Justine keep coming out with comments like your last one and my long cold winter will be so much more enjoyable! lol JIM.

Lol, yes Jim.

It's freezing in the UK at the moment. I'm still going to clean, clean, clean lol.

I'm hoping the new tail light and new BMW badge come by Friday so I can crack on.

We have an annual Xmas get together at my in laws this Sunday and my husbands cousin has a Mercedes SLK 55 AMG and he's keen to see mine, so needs to be immaculate lol

I think my Z3 is going to be nervous. The SLK is a 5 litre engine. Mines only a little 1.8 lol

My neighbours must think I'm mad, was just outside giving the roof a little spot wash. I spotted bird poo and HAD to get it off before the weekend. Couldn't wait!!!!

Haha Jim. I must get one of those roof cover things. My husband is currently hogging the garage so my little Z has to be outside.......

If memory serves me there was a discussion on the 1/2 covers not that long ago with discussion about brand and attachment types. You can try a search or as usual Gaz or HT will point you in that direction. Was looking at a few myself but what I found didn't seem to attach the way I'd like. Anyone else out there with a comment? Wasn't it you t-tony?? JIM

You can buy a tonneau cover which covers the whole area, but you will need to scour ebay for one
Good morning, I have found one in good condition for £140. Is that expensive? Seems a bit excessive?

Its a sellers market with them. I've seen them sometimes for £50, then ranging up to the price you've seen. They aren't essential so if you are prepared to wait you may find one at a better price.

Thank you :) That's useful. I may just wait a little. Just so excited lol.

I'm itching to get cleaning! Hate that I have to wait for the weekend :(

Spoke to BMW today and they quoted £700 for a service!!!!

Also found out that my car was originally listed in Belgium when new and over time its made its way over to the UK :bookworm:

@GazHyde took his, an independent in Salisbury, told them I just purchased and to give it a full type II service and a once over just for my own piece of mind and a clear line in the sand so to speak, which set me back around £250.
Exactly this... Where are you roughly in the country and we may be able to recommend a local independent close to you.

The Inspection II is the bigger of the 2 services, and covers more than the Inpsection I. As the Inspection II is cheaper than my local BMW dealer charges for an Insp I, I go with that each time. Also because I'm saving money doing it this way I get the gearbox and rear differential oil changed at the same time. All helps keep stuff nice and smooth :)

I am actually very close to Walton on Thames. So basically Heathrow Airport. Close to Windsor, Richmond etc. If that helps. I like to name a few areas so people know etc.

I have the car booked in for a service on Monday with a garage my husband uses. They have quoted me £200 for a full service and to check the car over. Need to check the suspension as the 'Tramlining' is slightly noticeable.

And, on another thread.........

Am I correct in assuming that this cover is soft and fleecy on the inside? My car will be in the garage soon but I want to keep the dust off.
Thanks again.
Tony.

Thank you very much guys, you are all so helpful. Feeling the love :)

Yes, I will let you all know how I get on after the service. Hopefully all is well and nothing too major. Shes purrs like a kitten when I start her up so don't think there will be anything too much. Just had an email from the courier and my package containing the new taillight will be with me today :)

Whoo hooooooooo
