I understand that Tim has returned all the donations made recently.
Correct me if I'm wrong but that is what I have been told.

I'm waiting to see if any of the admin team over there will make the move, or if they will be too embarrassed and end up posting between themselves on .net because they are the only ones left :-?
Phil is Admin and I'm a Mod, we still post here
Yes with exception of you 2, who have always been very helpful in the past :D

Sorry I wasn't trying to be unfriendly if it sounded that way, it was only a joke ;)

As far as I know, the donations that were returned were those made after the site came back online, following Tim's apology for the downtime and request for further funding.

Most of our concerns were, I think, regarding the request Tim made in September last year for more funding, allegedly for site improvements. Unfortunately, the thread was one of the ones that was considered contentious and deleted recently.

Again, I stand to be corrected.

Its should be about attracting as many people as possible and then keeping them AND keeping the forum interesting.
There is another forum which nero is involved with -
http://www.zed-cars.org/forum/

This started in a similar way to this forum (in a blaze of glory) but is almost inactive now. I'm sure nero and the other admin would love you all to join that as well.

Oh by the way I'm not involved with that forum other than as a member and post occasionally.

Thanks for the plug, Phil :)

As I said in my previous post, Zed-Cars is more about social rather than technical.
Site traffic largely depends upon events e.g. Zmas Christmas party and hopefully 2012 we may get around to doing some weekends again

At the moment, I've disabled registering on the site as I'm getting hit with a large number of spammers registering.
(I'll be bending James and Gaz's ears for advice ;) )

Thanks ~ Neil

@Pete,

Maybe because some of us had met, so formed good relationships. Just join in the banter and all will come good ;)

Comming out on some events helps, i live on the notts/derby boarder but i regulary go out on runs and meets around yorkshire and wales. You will find us all friendly pete. I would say most friendships have developed via the meets and runs.
