It's been a while so time for an update. I've changed to a Z4 3.0 and put new alloys on. Very pleased with the results:

I really enjoyed that day at Oulton Park. That was one of my first track days, great fun.

The noise is good. I bought a cheap active mic from amazon, it has made all the difference. It is powered by a single AA battery and is designed to clip on to a tie. I clipped it to the top of the car mat up inside the passenger foot well.

The mighty zed at Anglesey, what a cracking day out. This is my third trackday in the Z4, it loved Anglesey. This circuit seemed to suit the car. Mind you, looking at the photo I need to beef up the anti roll bars, particularly the rear one. Bloody good photo mind. This explains why it under steers so badly. The suspension set up is way too "safe".

My mate took his Porsche 911 along, it was surprisingly quick. Completely different animal to the Boxster (which is suprisingly slow IMHO).
