Just dropped the car off for its Service, but more importantly, it's MOT :bag:

No advisories last time so am not expecting anything after 6k miles, but you never know.

It'll be fine. If they look at the paint they will know it's cared for.

It's a specialist sports car and racing car outfit. Run by an ex racing driver. They love cars!
If you can't trust them there is no hope.

I'll sail through mate
Am sure it will Steve. Everything visible looks just great. But you never know until the PASS gets stamped (or whatever the modern equivalent is).

It'll be fine mate! :nailbiting:

Thankfully it was a pass. Only one advisory. NS front brake fluctuated. Due entirely because it doesn't get regular use and rust forms on the disc except where the pad is. While I gave it some revs on the 27 miles in this morning I think I used the brakes just twice from speed. Clearly not enough to clean them up enough for the test. Who'd have thought it?
It's the first time anyone has really been under the car since I bought it so I know it's in reasonable shape and no major expense is coming - hopefully.

Nice one mate  We had a bizarre advisory on Yvonne's Galaxy, we didn't have all 5 rear seats in, two on the middle row and one on the rear row o_O

That's simply because if the seats aren't present you can't test the seat belt for those seats.

Tony.

Nice one Ian!

Thanks mate, every day is a school day. I am adumacated
The M.O.T. test throws up some strange things Andy, but usually there's a reason. Some things are beyond sense sometimes too, like tyres that are outside the bodywork only an advisory item ???

I thought tyres protruding was illegal? Another school day.

Illegal they may be, hence the plod don't like them, but, sod all to do with the test. How mad is that?

Tony.

I have a story about something else they were doing today but tea is ready. You'll have to wait. :D
