You could remove the surface rust on the pipes and put some rust primer paint on them which should keep them from rusting further.
I would not worry unduly about the rear subframe bushes Davy, they have to be totally f***ed to fail the test. Now, IF you want the car to be like it left the factory that is something else entirely. The brake pipes you can clean with a soft wire brush GENTLY though, and then grease them. Bear in mind that whatever you do to clean them will make them slightly thinner and slightly more likely to burst under extreme pressure.Should I consider doing any of the work on the advisories?
Bushes mainly. Rear sub frame bushes are a huge job aren't they? I don't have the time knowledge or tools to do it so would have to be done in a garage.
