Mor61e's Topaz 2.8 Z3

Car looks fantastic love its stance .What coilover kit did you use as most don't drop the rear very well?
Great touches and a stunning example

Nice work

Great read and a great looking Zed:thumbsup:

Thanks folks :)

Thank you Ant

I'm ashamed to say it's just a cheapo eBay special kit, I removed the rear adjusters as well so it's sitting as low as it can

I keep meaning to upgrade to some BCs as I've had them before but to be honest I don't mind the ride too much. It's only really overly bouncy down some harsh country lanes :)

It doesn't really matter what you fitted as long as you're happy with it, the look is great and if you're happy with the ride, job's a good un!

Tony.

The car sits very well , we all are individual and its your own choices that are the important ones.
Zeds tend to be ongoing projects they never get finished just improved.
A great project

I'm very happy with the BC's but there is a new option on the market - Gaz have developed kits for racing Z3's. I'd have a chat to them for a custom setup if you want to go very low but still handle ok
They are also offering true coilover setup for the rear and say no extra fabrication needed, might be a way get low and still have decent spring travel: http://www.gazcoilovers.com/gaz-gol...0_502/bmw-z3-gaz-gold-coilover-kit-p-245.html

Thanks again Tony and Ant

That looks like a brilliant setup Dino! Lots of monies and maybe slightly overkill for a road car but you never know

Are you thinking of making a purchase?

A couple of weeks ago I decided that something needed to be done with my very worn and smooth steering wheel:

So after a few emails back and forth with Jack at Royal Steering Wheels I sent it on it's way, along with the gear and handbrake gaitors

2 weeks later they returned, and I wasted no time getting them fitted (was rather excited :D):

I went with black Alcantara, beige stitching to match the interior, a dark grey centre marker to match the wheels and extra padding, with the gaitors done to match

The finish and materials are second to none, over the moon with the job and would highly recommend as many others have already

And a bonus pic I found:

Steering wheel and gaiters look superb i love mine one mod that is worth every penny.
Car is looking great i thought mine was low ! Great stance....

I am but the front tyres are only 195s ;)
I was wondering how could the front lips stick out so much... I personally dug the Styling 18 better but, hey, it's a matter of tastes. Overall impressive job you have done to what already looked a mint condition car, mind the rear camber...it ruins the tires pretty quick...:hungover:

A great photograph which shows your car at its best - looks perfect - and the stance is just spot on!!!

Not much of an update from this year mainly due to this money pit falling into my possession, as can be seen here in it's natural habitat:
