How have I only just seen this. Great work on the car it looks superb shame you're selling , seems lots of long timers are now moving on.

Thanks very much!

Impending house purchase on the way soon so I need to downsize the fleet slightly to help towards it :(

I absolutely wouldn't sell it otherwise, it's a great car, shall miss it :(

Sooo I didn't sell it after all :D

Spent a bit of money over winter on maintenance and some upgrades instead!

The outdoor temp was showing at -40 so I figured a new sensor was in order, but upon inspection one of the wires had broken due to corrosion:

The repair pins and new plug:

Lovely job

Next was the O/S inner CV joint leaking grease. I automatically thought it must be the rubber boot so got one ordered in, but it turns out it was just seeping between where the joint presses into the metal cup of the boot. Hey ho, just replaced the whole thing while it was stripped:

New rear shocks and top mounts, suitably shorter:

New rear tyres:

Oil filter housing gasket had been slowly leaking for a little while. Turns out it was like plastic after all those years :hungover::

Plus a full service including the extra 2 o-rings which I remember reading a thread about on here once :

And then immediately went on a 3 hour drive to Ross-on-Wye to see some friends, and get the car absolutely filthy again :hilarious::
