Meeting in romainia

Nice scoop @FRANKIE! I like Maguire's leather restore and cleaner. Spray and wipe with a bit of help from a nail brush for heavier spots. Softens the leather nicely and gets nice and supple! JIM

@FRANKIE, answers in order:
The engine sounds fine. Which one of you two is older?
- Unfortunately I am one year "earlier"!
Now that you've started to post VIDEOS, How about one of you and the wife in the Z?
- Hope to do that next Summer during the Dutch cruise that I want to attempt, meeting this nice UK group + EU forum mates!
I bought a Yahama 650 street bike about 2 years ago. A 1979 that doesn't have electronic ignition but points, condenser and rotor. It still has a kick start, the last year they had them. 2 cylinder. Next spring?
- Me too I love the classic bikes with no electronic and kick starter!
Drove out to Ohio to pick up 2 seats for my 325ci convertable. It was a 19 hour drive counting the half hour picking them up and 20 pit stop for a small meal break. Got them for 300 which is cheap as ones in good condition go for 1 to 2.5k. Driver's side has small tear that can be fixed. Need to find out from you guys about a good leather cleaner/restorer.
- I see the RedM put some color on your seats! The red seats you've purchased for your 325ci are great! And as usual, great things comes long distance, trip included!
Dan

Really great job you did on that!!! It looks like new!! And I love the white wall tires. Are you happy with the way it runs? Frankie
PS. How many cc's? Do you feel comfortable with drum brakes front and rear? Looks like a new seat altogether. Was that difficult? I have a Honda 450 I'd like to restore. Frankie

Trying is easy, the challenge is to find the parts, OEM or after market...for Us, humans!

It's a 250 cc, 12 HP.
It runs great. With the drum brakes you have to drive defensive always. As I had never disc brakes on my two wheels, I can't say the difference. Anyway I will never drive another bike. This one is the one that I wished.
Difficult? yes and no... not more difficult as you changed the soft top of your Zed! Difficult just for the reason of the parts procurement and workshop for specialized operations , that you can't do it with your own hands.

Great job Dan, that bike looks fantastic mate.

Tony.

Brilliant job Dan, looks great:)

Nice to know you have finally finished it Dan. Looks great. Will show Mozz it today if he has not already seen it.
