Meeting in romainia

Super pics @Zeti looks just as I pictured your county to be like.. Hopefully one day I can see it and especially you and your family. What a wonderful trip that would be and I hope that the plans you and Hugh have made come true. Does that guy always smile?? JIM
Jim you are anytime welcome as any member of Zroadster org! I have always a guestroom and place for parking a Zed!

@miller1098. Did you stay at Sighisoara? I showed a lady at work the pics and she thought that's where you we're?

Went to our guides dads house for a little home brew ,and I can tell you this is some fine liquor,it really does give you wingsView attachment 21748View attachment 21751

@miller1098 As I see a change in your flag, I assume you are biking again with your mates!
So it's time to tell you that the meeting with you, off road bikers, made me thinking to the next level, as I'm still "young":
I got a Jawa 250 (1960), as a Winter project!
Just to get some courage, before restoration , I started the engine... now , I'm really excited!

Brilliant Zeti, good luck with your project. Keep us up to speed.

A friend of mine road a 250 Jawa to work every day for years. They used to build great speedway bikes too back in the day.

Great stuff Dan, I look forwards to seeing that old girl rebuilt. It reminds me of my old BSA Bantam. We had loads of 2 stroke engine bikes over here too, many running Villiers engines. I can almost smell the exhaust from here. Good luck with it! :):)

Tony.

Very nice @Zeti! I remember a friend that used a 250 Jawa as his hillclimber back in the 60's-70's. Great little bike, much better than the Suzuki 250 Savage I had! Shot right up that hill like a rocket! JIM

That's great Dan this is a perfect bike for a lot of fun. I spoke to Chip and Bogdan today and we have a bottle of polinka here in Italy but it doesn't taste as good like in Romania.

Cheers to you, guys!

It's good to see that you have a great project to work on. The engine sounds fine. Which one of you two is older? Now that you've started to post VIDEOS, How about one of you and the wife in the Z? I bought a Yahama 650 street bike about 2 years ago. A 1979 that doesn't have electronic ignition but points, condenser and rotor. It still has a kick start, the last year they had them. 2 cylinder. Next spring?
Drove out to Ohio to pick up 2 seats for my 325ci convertable. It was a 19 hour drive counting the half hour picking them up and 20 pit stop for a small meal break. Got them for 300 which is cheap as ones in good condition go for 1 to 2.5k. Driver's side has small tear that can be fixed. Need to find out from you guys about a good leather cleaner/restorer.

Those seats look to be in nice condition Frankie, a good buy. How many miles was the journey?
Probably further than driving tip to toe of the UK.

Tony.
