Looking good, how easy is it to remove the glass front ? Geoff
Yes 2 torque screws at the top but the cluster can be tight to get off, I use a small sucker to pull it forward, its a lot easier with the steering wheel off, once the cluster is out there are 5 small torques in the back, once removed the cluster will split, then you need to twist 3 retaining clips through 180 degrees, this will allow the dials to come off and give you access to the front via the dial holes, you can't remove the clear front.Does the cluster just unscrew from the front ?
i had considered this and as e36 pods can be picked up for around £15 seems like a better option, if cut in the right place it may still be how i go about it, depending on how fiddly it is to get 3 pieces together through the holes, would be simpler to get one piece in through the front.A Dremmel and cutting disc makes the clear piece come off very easily. Clear or black silicon will stick it back on too.

Bloody hell, he is back. Must have been busy.....been busy.
