We had one of those stupid ones too Brian. He was cream/white coloured and his name was Sam. We lost him shortly after we lost our Carla.

No need to be sorry Dave, it's a long time ago. By the way the old Lab was 15 years old.sorry mate.
I know mate but you had a huge blow in your life and then to loose an animal soon after must have been awful. My best mate lost his ridgeback last year and I watched him crumble. But we take them on knowing by rights they should go first. No need to be sorry Dave, it's a long time ago. By the way the old Lab was 15 years old.

You can't Brian! That's why we're all on this thread! How can you resist those eyes
All very true mate. Our Sam was my best mate too. We got him before the kids came along and I played rough with him so that he'd be used to it when the kids started pulling his ears and poking him in the eyes etc..he was so gentle that when the cat came along and fancied his food the soft thing just sat there and watched with sad eyes.I know mate but you had a huge blow in your life and then to loose an animal soon after must have been awful. My two cats, Turkish Angora half sisters, sadly no longer with us, I had them put down when I got the Z
Just kidding, they both died at the ripe old age of 14, went down nice with a bottle of red!.
Were with you Brian. We will always have dogs, there a lifestyle for us. As I write this the spaniel is lying on our bed, on his back fast asleep snoring! Wouldn't have it any other way.Got our 1st dog just after we got married and we are now on our 5th dog and never been without at least one. We ask ourselves what it would be like without the ties but the companionship always wins along with their stupid antics and ways of getting your attention.
34 years and all bar one have been rescue.
