Let's see your Pets!

This is our Max on holiday last year part way up Pen-y-gent.
Rescue dog as well and either 7 or 10 we had confilcting stories from the shelter but he loves his days out or sleeping on the sofa.

We have another pet in the @Grumpy crew but she's too big to live in the house. This is tika our very old mare.

No need to be sorry Dave, it's a long time ago. By the way the old Lab was 15 years old.

Tony.
I know mate but you had a huge blow in your life and then to loose an animal soon after must have been awful. My best mate lost his ridgeback last year and I watched him crumble. But we take them on knowing by rights they should go first.

All very true mate. Our Sam was my best mate too. We got him before the kids came along and I played rough with him so that he'd be used to it when the kids started pulling his ears and poking him in the eyes etc..he was so gentle that when the cat came along and fancied his food the soft thing just sat there and watched with sad eyes.

Oh for gods sake stop it! I hate bloody sad animal storys! Animal rescue programs are banned in our house, I can't cope with them!

There's no pain like losing a pet :(

Our first dog as a couple was called Dillan and he was born a couple of days before we got married in 1983. He came from a litter than my wifes parents dog had.
He was a cross breed, another council estate special and another superb companion. He was 18 when I took him to the vets for the last time and I was inconsolable. I lost my Dad the year before but I cried more for my dog than I did for my Dad.
It took me 4yrs to move on and get our Fred.

Fred and me are going to grow old together:cool:

Got our 1st dog just after we got married and we are now on our 5th dog and never been without at least one. We ask ourselves what it would be like without the ties but the companionship always wins along with their stupid antics and ways of getting your attention.

34 years and all bar one have been rescue.

Let's see your pets the man said! Found this little fella in the garden a few months ago, captured, cage brought and now the family pet=)) Oh, my 10 year old christened him .............. Banana

Just kidding, they both died at the ripe old age of 14, went down nice with a bottle of red!.

Were with you Brian. We will always have dogs, there a lifestyle for us. As I write this the spaniel is lying on our bed, on his back fast asleep snoring! Wouldn't have it any other way.
