If they are spreading too much make sure that:

Your ingredients are room temperature before you start.

You then chill the dough before cooking .

And the oven isn't too hot
 
If at first you don't succeed, lob it in the bin and shoot down the Co-op ;)=)) Don't matter what they look like, I bet they taste great.:thumbsup:

Me to, many, many moons ago after a long night out in Amsterdam drinking all night, in the early morning hours we found our selves in The Bulldog.
No booze sold there, strange we thought?
Instead, we were offered coffee and chocolate cake, both of us having the munchies and being naive, thought yep, good idea.
Because you have to digest it the effects are delayed.
Driving home just after, it kicks in, my mate decided he could change gear from 5th to 1st in one go.
There we were, stoned, stuck at the side of the road with a knackered gearbox.
We managed to flag down a taxi to get us home.

My mate had to explain to his boss the next day why his company car had to be recovered and was delivered to the office from Amsterdam.

been there, my brother thought it would be a good idea to see if his turbo would kick in while reversing, disaster (many years ago now, but still funny)

I am taking yesterday's and today's batch to Silverstone tommrow then my baking career is over :p I am rubbish :(

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter. Going over to my cousin's house for Easter Dinner. Baked a New York style Cheese Cake for the occasion:

When I went to my cousin's house I had taken the cheese cake out of the frig where it had been overnight. It had chilled through very well and was very firm. I had tweaked the recipe a bit adding two ingredients and limiting another so I was not sure just how this would taste. It turned out to be the best one I had ever made. It was firm but still had a creamy texture. It seems to me that working on cars and using your imagination when you have to moderate something for it to work or using your ingenuity and experience to develop the result you want lends itself well to baking. If you don't get the results you want, you can think about what you've done in other situations or if you have no experience solving that particular problem, start going through the internet for a solution or at least an idea. Here's the picture of it after I took the spring form collar off..............mmmm................mmmmm..............mmmmm. And it was GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!.....Frankie
