Roy, I prefer a good carnauba paste wax and over the years have tried many different products but the wax seems to last best and easily removed and replaced. A bit time consuming at first but you should get 2-3 months of ease of cleaning. Check out my recommendations in the polished wheel thread. If you're going out on a particularly crappy day a quick shot of spray cooking oil and the junk hoses right off. JIM
Cheers Jim, I'll Nick some of her cooking oil this week while there's plenty of it, as for the wax can I use the wax I've just bought for her hardwood kitchen tops. Could be saving some pennies all round. No???

Nice thought billz, but sadly the wheels came too late to get them fitted by my tyre mate, you know the score, when you've had a mate take care of all your tyre needs over the years it's just not on to take em somewhere else.He's done it for years and given good service and advice so deserves all my loyalty, thank you for the thought but would like a look at the product.

Yes, the higher the percentage of carnauba the better as that's what makes the hardness once applied. But take a look at poorboys, it's not a product we have here. What you are wanting to do is keep the oxidation process from taking hold with a barrier of some sort. Even when the wheel is virgin and Uncoated the second they are exposed to the atmosphere they are already oxidizing. And definitely better done off the car where you can set the wheels somewhere comfortable. Don't forget about the inner wheels they are actually the most susceptible part. HTH JIM
