Apparently one of the few hotels to escape Irma virtually unscathed apart from losng many tress from the grounds. Thete were home to "Fema" families until Feb. this year.

Tony.

ps. Only thing still out of action is the Hot tub.
So what's going on there in the Keys. Just heard the forcast....Tropical Depression and rain????? How's it look...............Frankie

It's not good Frankie, it's also followed us north. This week looks like an early onset to the wet season. 70% rain chance every day this week mate.

Tony.

ps. I'll Skype you tomorrow afternoon.

Hurricane season starts in 2 weeks. We were advised that we needed some signage in the villa advising guests what they need to do in the event of a Hurricane. Thinking of @hard top we bought this down in the Keys. I will put it up tomorrow.

Finally caught up with Wally Gator this morning in the lake at the villa. About 3ft long and already not scared of humans (obviously been fed) so it won't survive much longer.

The turtles are big enough not to have to worry about this little fella. As they swim right up to and under the gator cool as you like.

Also large shoals of fish seemingly minding their own business until the Gator splashes as he moved and the the fish swarmed to the point if the splash indicating they too like being fed.

Took these at a service plaza on the Turnpike yesterday Tim, no point in looking at Keys fuel.prices as they're always inflated the same as everything is from Homestead southward.

This was filling the car while we stopped for people fuel.

Found the little Ford very good on petrol overall, used much less than the usual cars we've had and performance very good. @Andy McDonnell . Very comfortable for a days travel. AC excellent.

Tony.
Cheers Tony

Well the Florida sun has really deserted us all. Rain forecast every day next week an action replay of last week.

Even the Mouse is getting his feet wet.
Two pictures from the Magic Kingdom yesterday.

You probably already know, but just to rub it in, you're missing some great weather at home at the moment=))
........sorry Tony ;)

It usually is a heat wave at home when we come to Florida in the spring Dave but this year the weather here is rubbish. After today they say normal summer trend of HOT and possible t/storms pm. for 3 days. Can cope with that ok but tbere has been drizzle and downpours for over a week now and not much sunshine :(.

Tony.
