You see how you and I are the only ones on here now? How many nights I look at the members on the forum and mine is the only name. They're all asleep...................................Frankie

Very true mate. You're on your own now though cos I'm turning in for the night. Been a long boring day, with a sad ending Frankie. Seen a lot of our favourite places down here totally destroyed beyond repair and many others closed down awaiting their fate.:(:(:(

Tony.

ps. Can't help but feel for the folks who own these businesses.

@SvenG , hey Sven we called at the Ragged Edge on our way down the Keys, guess what?, they have the whole place sold put to a wedding party until the 22nd of May.:(

Tony.

The only time I have been to the Keys was in 1985 with a Nimrod crew, at the Queens expense. Seem to recall the natives were very friendly then.

They still are Ian, especially when they're taking your credit card.:)
It's s piece of paradise.

Tony.

Most excellent

The Keys are truly special.

They really are that mate, those who have not been cannot grasp how special they are. Looking fairly battered still in places after last year. Just hope they don't get more of the same this time round.

Tony.

Raining in Marathon this morning, we're sitting here at Porky's on US1 having breakfast before heading back upstate to Ft. Lauderdale hopping on the A1A coast road and make our way back to Kisimmee . . . . . . eventually.

Tony.

Had breakfast yesterday at The Stuufed Pig about 1/2 mile north of Porky's. Of the 2, 1st was best by a country mile but if you don't try you never know.

Tony.

Hope it's stopped raining on you.

Let us know how much the fuel is over there so we can all have a good rant.

Took these at a service plaza on the Turnpike yesterday Tim, no point in looking at Keys fuel.prices as they're always inflated the same as everything is from Homestead southward.

This was filling the car while we stopped for people fuel.

Found the little Ford very good on petrol overall, used much less than the usual cars we've had and performance very good. @Andy McDonnell . Very comfortable for a days travel. AC excellent.

Tony.

What kind of a meal did they give you?.............................Frankie

At the Stuffed Pig, 3 medallions of Canadian bacon, 2 eggs, hash browns and toast. Plus coffee and Orange juice.$30 Inc. tip. At Porky's similar fair but less ham and hash browns under cooked, same drinks $40 Inc.

What's the cost in English mate?

Around £24 Dave, US gallon slightly less volume than Imperial gallon IIRC though.
