I don't know what your budget is. But if you can stretch to that required for a 2 year old car I was bowled over by the quality of the cars in a recent BMW Group dump at BCA. And prices were around 20% less than forecourt.

BMW direct with any junk weeded out. I don't think I saw a mark that wouldn't polish out on any of them.

Yes they'll be ex lease etc but the majority of cars under 3 years old are regardless of where you buy them from.

You may well find the car you were looking at is the owners car, he will be using it for a period and the car will be classed as stock as it is advertised albeit he has no intention to sell just yet!

Edit: just read the post above, may not be relevant.

No you may well be right Bri, I had originally phoned about the BMW 135, and then it was AH that one is sold but I can offer you Blah Blah Blah!
It was afterwards I liked the look of something else and that's the one he asked for a holding fee on to keep it there until I could go see it.
But I couldn't go to view as the Mrs, twisted her knee and was unable to drive the 4 hours, so I cancelled the viewing and asked for the refundable fee to be returned! So the one I wanted originally is the BMW 135 that's supposed to be sold but is still on there weeks later!

Thanks Mac your a jewel. If only I lived nearer I would be over there myself. Because I have contacted my bank about the problem I am waiting for them to contact me and let me know what their position is, and how helpful they can be. All being well they will turn the screws
for me, but can I ask you to keep that option open?
Of course.

Hi Grumps, I didn't pay a deposit on anything, What they advertise is, if you like the look of something and want them to hold it for you until you can visit and test drive it you pay a Holding Fee, and then after you try it if the car is not for you the "Holding fee" is fully refundable under any circumstances!
Trouble is I didn't find the web page for the company's customer reviews until later and there are people on there that have also had the same problem, one had paid £500 holding fee! Mine is only a £100. They must lose a load of business if people check their reviews record.
They also advertise some of their cars as AA approved, but when that purchaser checked up with the AA they didn't know anything about it!
They advertise that all their cars have been HPI checked, but another customer found out later that the car had been in a head on collision!
Crazy init, you couldn't make it up.
Would be interesting to know who owns it though?
Oh right I see Brian. Leave it with me and I'll do some digging tomo and get back here if I find anything out.

Like that Mike.

Tony.

Junction 17 cars are the worst company you can imagine. Be aware, they are fraudsters and will take your money. But the cars they sell are not worth the asking price. Avoid them like the plague.

Have you had dealings with them Mike?

They are indeed Mike! That's the main reason I posted was so that others will also be aware what this set up is capable of! Robbing baskets!!
But I will not stop getting at them. This sort of business should be shut down!

Look on Companies House site and search for Junction 17 Cars and then do a separate search on company directors, keep you going for hours!!
I did a similar search over the company my son & daughter-in-law bought a car from 18 months back.
Briefly, they had already bought the car from the dealer and when I examined the service book a couple of days later, there was a glaring inconsistency in the mileage on the car and the mileage in the book. A "new" speedo had been fitted at some point and the advertised mileage was 15k different from what I worked out as being true mileage. Got Trading Standards involved and they paid dealer a few visits. He was impossible to pin down, when you rang always out on business. TS ruled out small claims court which is so expensive these days and can take ages. Eventual on an unannounced visit got agreement from dealer he would refund money, but said he needed to sell a few cars (with hindsight a stalling tactic).
Next thing a few weeks later went down to chivvy them up, site was locked up, all cars had gone and a board up saying they had gone into administration!! The cars had all been spirited away overnight.
The Companies House search revealed he'd had three other companies which all gone bust over the previous 10 years. The same car dealer site has since reopened under another name though with the same sales staff, though the director from previous company isn't on list of new company.
Keep after them and do get Trading Standards involved.

Brian if you get no joy a little night visit with a tin of nitro morse across a couple of bonnets would cover your money plenty of doggy people about

Brian I've checked this with a friend of mine who's just retired from being a general manager at a well known car supermarket and they can't legally keep your deposit so go get it!!
