I've had better days

Glad it turned out ok Dave as could have been nasty.Never nice to have to pay for someone elses mistake and glad you didn't have to......
Cheers mate.

At least it wasn't your Grumpy sandwich box that went over. That would have been a tragedy. You'll be needing bungee cords for it now

God forbid!

Yep it''s not good Roy. If the load had come out altogether and landed on a car below it could have seen me banged up. Yes we checked the loads everyday but on this particular load we had to trust the loader. He let me down, I have a name but haven't a clue who he is. Most of the loaders are Eastern block guys and they don't mingle so rarely get to speak to any of them. If any blame or worse had been pointed in my direction believe me we would have been speaking!

Never mind Dave if it's your profession then you have hardly any choice, I took some drastic decisions when I gave it all up but then my children were all out at work so they helped in the short term and HMP service was only too glad to have me to help run and train their their control room staff for the 20 yrs I was with them, was asked to do some driving for them on overtime and got filmed driving in the bus lane with a prisoner and escort on board, they put me over the coals so I refused to drive any more, tried to discipline me but because I already had a drivers licence when recruited they got themselves tied up in knots , it wasn't in my employment contract clear enough so they dropped it, still came after me for the fine when they could have had it void owing to an emergency. It does seem Dave that it's not what you do at work that counts, it's what you DON'T do. (Pessimistic me again:bored:)Thank goodness it's all behind me now I've retired, only thing I can say is "keep on trucking mate" we need the truckers that CARE out there.

Roy.
