It is with huge sorrow.....

Yesterday we were working on my sills and I noticed in a tray of bits and bobs was the air pump delete cover that Tony sent me. I had to stop and reflect. Im actually going to put it up on the garage wall, nobody will know what it is or why its there...except me

So sad to hear, never got to meet “the man” but he was a legend and will be greatly missed.

What an fantastic reflection of what people thought of Tony. Wonderful, Shirl has read all your messages and has asked me to post a reply as she can't do it herself.

In complete shock at this sad news - Tony was one of the good guys , always had time to chat at the Z meets ,, fantastic chap and will be missed by many ,, RIP Tony , thoughts are with your family 😢😢😢

That is awful news. So sorry Shirley and family. I’ll let the dust settle and pop over.

Tony was a pure gent. His z days were great fun and met lots of decent folk there. He also helped me out of many a spot when I’d c0cked something mechanical up.

RIP Tony. I’ll miss you.

Stuart

That's such sad news. Tony was always so helpful when I had any questions. My sincere condolences to his family

This news has hit me like a sledge hammer in the face. I'm glad I was sitting down when I heard of Tony's passing. Sending my sincere condolences to Tony's family. God bless XXX

Condolences to Tony’s family.

A Zorg Legend.

During my time as a Z enthusiast, Tony was very helpful, knowledgable and conveyed a great sense of humour on the forum.

Even after his passing, his posts and threads will remain, helping others now and into the future. I am sure we will stumble on some of the good craic he shared as we revisit old posts in need of a fix on our cars.

Thoughts with Tony’s family and friends.

Apologies for my late response.
Grumps gave me the very sad news of Tony's passing on Thursday morning 😰.
Although I haven't been on here for quite a while and I'd lost touch with Tony, it knocked me for six.
He was one of the very first people on here to welcome me onto the forum about 10 years ago. Turned out he knew my home town as his father in law used to race stock cars at my local track and Tony was his spanner man.
For quite a few years I'd visit what became know the zed shed, Midlands regularly, where I met even more of you including Grumps 😊.
What an absolute gentleman and fountain of knowledge he was with all things zed related, but more than that a fabulous friend and at times, a guiding light.

You'll be deeply missed Tony, rest in peace reunited with with Carla and your lost loved ones.

Sincere condolences to Shirl and the family xx.

So sad to hear this news, like many never met him but felt very much like I knew him as a friend when reading many of his posts. Always first to say hello or help with advice. My condolences to Shirl and the family, take care x

We're both so sad and shocked to hear of Tony's passing and can only echo what others have said on here. Our heartfelt condolences to Shirley and family. Met Tony a few times, most recently on the Torksey Lock run and we think the attendance really showed his popularity. R I P T Tony. You will be missed.

another one who never got to meet Tony, but chatted through the forum many times.

I too, felt I knew him and sit here in shock at his passing. My sympathies to Shirl and his family.

Even though I've not been very active here of late, just the occasional lurk, while I slowly get mine back together, his words of wisdom just keep popping up. He certainly won't get forgotten.

A reminder to us all, our time here is limited, and we should all make the most of it.

RIP Tony

p.s. I noticed his profile now shows he has passed, maybe the "Zorg Expert" status should change to "Legend"

"Zorg Expert" status should change to "Legend"
I did just double check the order but Zorg Expert (II) is higher than Legend - which is counter intuitive! I'll see what I can do, but he's "top rank" as everyone would expect.
