@[USERGROUP=12]M44 Massive[/USERGROUP] so seems how I'm on this page and we are all aware of fogging the airbox, here's my custom take on it! I took the fog lights off for now and put mesh front so air can circulate to the filter, and I took the filter out of the stock box and I've been loving it! Works like a charm what you guys think?

I entirely agree with the new sport filter, but I think that is no need to remove the fog lights for this project! now it's enough room for the filter comparing with OEM and air is everywhere!
by the way do you have a link for the kit?

@Zeti @m44massive I feel like if the free flow of air without the blocking of the fog light would create like a "ram air" effect, wouldn't having the fog light dampen the affect?
 
Intrigued - have you got a pic of it in situ?
 
I assume that the filter sits down by the fog light? will you not run risk of getting the filter wet and causing problems with running etc. you just attach the filter to the MAF and run your air pipe up from the fog light, that way you can do away with the OEM airbox

@zedonist the way I have it set now is so I can pass smog, but the stock oem box has the sensor on it. Does that sensor need to be connected or can I just do away with it?
 
Any opinions on what I should do? Or if this is okay? Should I cover it up with the fog light? Suspend the air filter so it's not just sitting there, or what? I'm in a pretty dry climate but it does rain. Would covering it with the fog light restrict air flow? What do @m44massive think?

My only concern would be water soaking the filter and then getting into the engine, could be a good effect could be a bad one, dont really know, you should connect up the sensor as it is the air temp sensor
