Sooo much better, I think the old components had been on there since new. Turns in nicely now, upgraded brakes, a refurbed subframe and some better tyres would suit it nicely. Oh, and then the wheel refurb!Great stance change - was looking good before but now ...
How does it drive ?

Looks great Martin loads better on them rims and the lowered stance changes the look completely

Looks like a fair swap. Can I ask a couple of questions (I have the MStyle wheel you have changed to) :-
What's the difference between the old and new? They difference overall diameters and the thickness of the wheel rims ? I like the look of the older type but wouldn't want to go up in size.
How tricky is it to change over taking into account air bag sensors and the like

As far as I'm aware there is no difference between the two in terms of diameter and thickness, it's just the design is different.
If your car is made before March 99 then it should have a single stage airbag. In that case it will be a straight swap, it's pretty easy to do.
1. Disconnect battery
2. Undo the two torx screws at the rear of the wheel, remove the airbag and disconnect the airbag (2x connectors)
3. Set wheel straight and remove the 16mm nut. The wheel will now come away
3. Remove the slip ring by undoing 3x torx screws on the rear of the steering wheel.
Putting the new wheel on is the opposite of removal

Thanks @Mnbrennan for that info. I have a 2.2 2001 so will need to look at if there is a different process.

Yes you should have the dual stage airbag so would need to convert over
Yep, I do too, for some reason the newer model looks 'simple'.
all about the M Steering wheel, i'm not a massive fan of the blue bits personally... needs to be a bit more subtle

Been a while since the last update, not much has changed recently due to funds
I did spot some AC Schnitzer Type II wheels on eBay, so took a punt and won! 5 wheels, 4 with decent tyres. Theyre silver with polished lips
Yesterday I protected them with Gtechniq C5 and fitted them today. They look so much better than the old white type III wheels (need to decide what to do with them
