What is peoples opinions.
I read now on a daily basis about so called British people going to Syria to join the IS. The Government and Police then spend thousands trying to get them back. Usually to no avail.
Now i am not racist as i have friends and acquaintances from all walks of life, but my opinion is this.
If anyone goes to join IS then they should have their Passports revoked and not be allowed back into Britain, for as far as i am concerned as soon as they leave the Country to take up arms against us then they are no longer British.
It is a fact that they as individuals made this decision and as a Nation we need to take a harder line to prevent people thinking it would be a good thing to do without consequences. These people need to be aware that if they join a band of Murderers then they will not be welcome back into our society.

Can't help myself but agree with you there Bill. There are a few vulnerable and misguided individuals in the mix though.

IS are probably the biggest problem to face the world since Nazi controlled Germany in my opinion, and it's an education issue as much as anything. I'm not sure exactly what would make you want to want to leave the UK and go and live in the middle of a war zone under tyrannical control...

I worked in Libya for a year and had a great time. The desert dwellers would share their last piece of bread and drop of water with you and we did the same. We never had any problems. The ex SAS boys were bored, as they did not have much to do.
These people are 'clans' and need a dictator.
Our Government and that of the US started all this sh***.
We are going to have to go down there and finish it.

Agreed, it's like an allotment, needs constant care and maintenance. Now that the "coalition" have pulled out en mass (less a handful of trainers etc) I fear said allotment will overgrow until it's put back in its box ............ until the next time when our kids/grandkids will be saying "hang on, haven't we been here before?". We suffer the same fate over here. These kids get brainwashed over the net and under the guise of going abroad for religious retreats head to Turkey, then Syria and on to fighting for IS! Fortunetly my Gov't has stopped many and revoked passports but many still manage to get out using UK as a stopover to IS!! i say "take em out" I'm talking about the bastards who are selling them weapons, if you can't get arms you can't wage war, now there's someone out there with enough money to plough in to all this s*** and sit having his dinner at home with not a care in the world, when I was In the services they would have found him and you can guess the rest, keep on restraining the supply of arms and it will fizzle out, it's just that apart from the Russian's no one is prepared to do it. The Russians reackon they could get anyone in the world if they really wanted and waited long enough, I for one wouldn't want to be on the list but qqIt's got to be better than loosing our soldiers and one hell of a lot cheaper. Only alternative as I see it is as HT says nuke em. Last but not least, we have a underling problem in this country of the undoubtable unspoken IS support in the Muslim quarters which will need to be delt with one way or another, so if they believe we have dished out s*** in some Muslim countries then I believe we should let all IS supporters go of their own free will with no repatriation, that way they might just get killed in the conflict and no longer be a threat here, in fact give them all a pat on the back for giving up their council houses. Jobs a good en.

Saddam got his weaponry from us and the US because he was fighting the bad guy (at the time) Iran. But things change, he still had weapons supplied by us and decided to turn them against the suppliers. Still no " Super Gun" though leaning on a hillside in Iraq.Oops!

I'm afraid I agree but would not have put it in those words .If you get some strength and comfort in believing in god or whatever that's great.Its the way Some religions have to force themselves on the rest of us that's the problem.If you trace back most conflicts it's usually about the$$$ with freedom and liberty as the excuse .

The only reasone we wont do anything against IS is because there is nothing in it for us. I am not against those who want to believe in any sort of religion i am against those that call themselves British or any other Nationality and then take up arms against us. Like i said before our Government should just say if you want to go then go but you will never be allowed back. If all Countries did that then a lot of people would not go.

I think we been here before it was called the crusades - the minority will affect the majority - actions of an few will affect the majority of peaceful Muslims. Thus in its nature will create more fundamentalist. Furthermore I believe there will be an backlash, from the far right targeting an certain Christian population. Which will inturn create more fundamentalists - we are currently in an cycle and currently I can not see the situation improving - only getting worse. However I think it should be an on way ticket, if you go - don't come back. And also freeze any assets within the UK!.

Australia just extended the 'Treason Law' so if a dual citizen joins such an army or group they will have their Australia Passport cancelled and citizenship terminated. It can however, be appealed in the high court.

We will not leave someone 'stateless' if they are only Australians though. There is some debate on this.

Of course the loony lefties of politics and social commentators disagree with any form of punishment or banishment of these fighters.
