Every now and again these two lights come on when driving. The performance is not affected and when I restart they go out and everything is OK.
This has happened a couple of times now.
Any ideas?

Get it plugged in probably one of the sensors is about to fail .
When the light has come on the fault causing it will be logged on the ecu.
When you turn car off as long as when you restart the fault not there the lights go off .
But at some point it wont.
When lights are on traction or abs or both wont work

Looks like your car is overdue an inspection and brake fluid change, sensors best replaced at same time likely.:)

Those are the two lights that are permanently on in my 2.2. According to the handbook the DSC is faulty. The car is safe to drive but the DSC won't work. It has to be fixed before the next MOT in December. Going for diagnosis on Wednesday.

I find it unlikely there would be no error stored. That's why the light comes on in the first place. Unless there's a faulty connection making the light come on for no reason.

I've got the read out here ;)
But I don't know what it means really :)
I can post a photo if you want :)

As others have said it is most likely a sensor fault which should show up in the stored codes.
Just so that you are aware it can also be caused by the abs control module having a fault. A few of us have had this and it is down to a dry solder joint in the control unit. A new unit is big money, but they can be independently repaired ( or there is a DIY) repair so don't panic if you ar e quoted silly money for a garage fix.
Let us know the outcome of the diagnosis and I am sure we will help you find a sensible fix. Ask for a report showing the stored fault codes and post them so we can understand the issue.
Good luck.

Hi Shelly the 1st page shows the system check ( highlights several logged faults )
2nd page lists what they all are there could be a number of reasons for each fault thats showing from low battery voltage to electronic glitch to fauty component.
If you haven't had the car diagnosed for a while some of the faults could have been present for a while .
I think personally rather than looking into lots of stuff (now I'm assuming that the car has been driving ok here ) i would get all the fault codes cleared from the memory ( now obviously if you do that and a code wont clear it will need dealt with ) but assuming they all clear run the car a week or 2 and get it plugged back in see what is there then investigate the returned faults .
Stephen.

Thank you for your help @Stevo7682 :p
The garage did clear the dashboard for me but within a day the light came back on again :)
Perhaps I'll take the Z back and let them have a look at the Z again :)
