I'm planning to buy a z and have been having a look around the forum to see what's what. I'm thinking of a 2.8 of 3.0, but can't decide between a Z3 or Z4. I'll have about 6k to play with.
as everyone will tell you two totally different beasts but my preference is a Z3 it drives like an old roadster Z4 a bit to posh and refined for me
to the forum from West Cumbria. With £6k there's plenty of choice of either. Good luck.Welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Couldn't have put it better myself Ant. You would get a stunning low mileage 3.0 Z3 for that money or a nice Z4. As Ant says try them both and make you own mind up.Hi and welcome , for your money there should be some good choice. As for a 3 or a 4 there will be many answers.
If a daily driver most would advise a 4 but if its fun and a more inspired drive for a weekend then a 3.
Theres a big love for both here some progress from a 3 to a 4 and then go back to the 3 its all about your own preference in look and drive.
Try them all but try a few of each as there is choice and you will know when driving it what feels right
Good luck with your search
There is more leg room in a 3 than any other car I've driven and I'm 6ft1.Hi
Thanks for the warm welcome. I've driven a Z4 now and it was very nice and refined, fast etc. i do want to have a go in a 3. The one listed above looks really nice, so i'm going to see if I can find one a bit more local to try out. To be honest I'm leaning towards the 3 at the moment, I think it might be a bit cheaper to run, better spares availability etc, and i prefer the looks. I'm 6ft 2inches tall, so don't know if that might change this view when I sit in one. The Z4 was a little cosy, but fine... Still, I'm enjoying the browsing.
Cheers

to the forum if it's a fun car you want then the Z3 can't be beaten.
