Got sills and liners off to de-rust and paint front arches and chassis rails. Noticed this little guy looking a bit sorry for himself and letting the side down a bit. Would like to replace him but have no idea what he is. Looked on RealOEM but none the wiser.

Can anybody help? I’m presuming the green highlighted strap and bolts are separate from the main red highlighted bit?
Also, can anybody tell me if the two little studs holding the bracket for the front bumper (circled in photo) will come out the chassis, or are they welded in?

Thanks in advance:drinks:

The bolts are welded onto the chassis. Be careful when you undo the nuts as you may end up twisting the flange the horn bracket mounts to.

I bought a brand new pair of Flamm horns and made up a converter harness for the generic blade connectors on the horn to keep the original car end connector. I don't like hacking the car's harness.

thanks @spurs fan in a coupe and @mrscalex

The horns are still working afaik so might take them off, clean and paint them, and then reinstall.

Would definitely like to replace the metal strap and nut holding the horn to the chassis though. Rob - do you know if those bits are readily available separately from the horn units?

Noted about the welded studs, thanks for the heads up:thumbsup:

Sorry no idea on the straps. My horns came with new ones but I used something from my spares box.

The strap will be part of new horn looks like at some point you could get the brackets shows on real Oem but faded picture means not available and no corresponding part number
