Ever since BMW started producing the Z line I've wanted one. In the past I've had MGs and Triumphs. Then, as many know, the two seat sports car market dried up. In the late 80s Mazada stared making the MX5 and it wasn't long before I had to have one. So I'm riding around in the MX5 and see this 'retro' looking two seat sports car with BMW badging! The Z3. With my fun funds tied up in the Mazda and two baby boys I had to wait on getting my own Z. Fast forward.
Two years ago I found a low mileage (30k) 2001 Dakar yellow roadster, checked my bank account and two days later drove it home. I've done many small projects to eliminate the usual glitches like clearing ODB codes, seat bushings, new shocks and struts etc. Now I can hopefully stay on top of maintenance to prolong the fun of driving. Thanks for being here and I am anxious to dive into the posts.
