I did the same mate and when I changed all 4 tyres the transformation was like driving a different car.I also put 32 front and 34 back. And result is still the same. So possibly tyres need changing
What Avons do you have fitted?I dropped tyres pressure, still doing same thing but in a less aggrasive way (softer)
Do I cage all 4 tyres or just the front 2?
Same here, went from 16" to 18" with 255/35/18 rear 225/40/18 front, total transformation.I did the same mate and when I changed all 4 tyres the transformation was like driving a different car.
That's a mixture that I'm sure won't be helping I would've thought.I have rear
1- AVON 245 40 ZR 17 91Y
2- ACCELERA 245/40 ZR 17 95W XL
Front:
1- AVON 225/45 ZR 17 91Y
2- UNIROYAL RAINSPORT2 225/45 ZR 17W
That's not a great combination, could well be contributing. Easy and cheap for us to tell you to change all 4, but I'd say that's where we are heading! As likely said before the Z3 is very unforgiving on tyres. Shame there isn't someone near you to do a wheel swap for a test drive to see any difference before committing!I have rear

Wheel swap for a few hours is what I did with @miller1098. I wanted to move up from the original 16" wheels to 18", Hugh's wife Sarah has the MV1's that I was looking at with Pirreli P Zero Nero's all round on her 2.8, changed my car completely, once I got home I ordered four rims and tyres. The Zed shed changed the suspension, the shocks were shot completely, they were replaced with OEM items, springs replaced with Eibach sport 30mm lowered. The car is now sorted. That's not a great combination, could well be contributing. Easy and cheap for us to tell you to change all 4, but I'd say that's where we are heading! Probably wouldn't help but more likely to be the tyres as the main culprits.I have just noticed that one of the rear shocks make squeaking noise when I push car up and down. Could that be a reason?
Are they the original shocks.I have just noticed that one of the rear shocks make squeaking noise when I push car up and down. Could that be a reason?
It looks like it's sachs, not sure if it's original or or not though ... sorryAre they the original shocks.
Looking at the corrosion in the pic, it could be the original shock, mine were originals (on the car since new) when I took them off and compressed them, they stayed there, didn't extend back out which will affect the way the car drives especially on rough and bumpy roads. It looks like it's sachs, not sure if it's original or or not though ... sorry
That is a factory fitted Sachs/Boge shock absorber. It looks like it's sachs, not sure if it's original or or not though ... sorry
