Cheers Gaz. The fun starts now I guess.Great news that you are well enough to come home!
Thanks Tony. I keep looking under the carport at Reggie. He's not been cleaned since Duxford and it's really annoying me but I don't think he'll see a sponge for a week or two yet mate.Very happy to hear you are home Dave. I know 2 other people who suffered the same as you and they both felt the same way as you. Take it easy and no polishing Reggie !!
Tony.

Thanks Bill. You trying to finish me off! No fats allowed! No Chinese, no Indian, no chippy, no pizza, no nothing.........Glad things are looking up Dave. You need a couple of good English breakfasts in you now![]()
Heyup crazy Shelly! Yes I'm back in a fashion. I imagine by the time I get back to work you'll be fed up of seeing me on here!
6! Watching Jeremy bloody kyle! How painfull was it ?on a scale of 1 being a headache. 2 having a baby. 3 man flu 4 chopping your own arm off with a blunt shears then beating yourself with the spiky side of a wire brush.5 listening to someone scrape their nails across blackboard while forcing you to watch daytime TV
Dave you have a pm.Great news Dave, pleased to hear you're out of hospital and back on the forum. Sounds like there is a plan in place, hope it all goes to that plan.
Dave & Pauline
Nothing is that painful6! Watching Jeremy bloody kyle!![]()
Hi Paul. Yep pressure is on but in talks with my boss. They've had 3 years loyal service from me, never a ounce of bother and they don't want to pay me sick pay! The battle is on and I'm not rushing to work for them to go back down hill again. Health is definitely most important. Sat in hospital gives you time to take stock and 60-70 hours a week, getting up at 3am I think is taking its toll. I think it's time to maybe have a major life change. As to what that may be I don't know yet but talks are being had in the grumpy house!Glad to here your home Dave but obviously a bit of a road ahead,
I know sometimes pressure of work can be heavy but remember you only have one go at life so don't rush back mate its not worth it
Oh thanks mate. Your a star.Yeh Dave working those hours is no good, I was in a similar position years ago doin 70hr weeks, ended up in hospital , had a breakdown and didnt work for nigh on 3 yrs, nearly finished me off, so have a long hard think over your future, lifes too short and you only get one chance.,
Big Man hugs bud, an take care.

take it easy get well soon. That's fairly typical of modern day companies I'm sorry to say Dave. Where I work were great when I had my heart operation, they paid me a full month for the first month even though I worked only half of it the next month they paid me all that years holiday pay " up front " so I only had 2 months on SSP. My immediate boss wasn't happy about me having one afternoon a week off for physio when I went back to work, saying " You've just had 4 months off!" so I went to the top of the food chain to the MD who said "Tony, if the hospital say you need it, do it and take no notice" Strangely his attitude changed last year after he had major intestinal surgery, he took all the time he could. Tony like you say it's modern life. I work for a private family owned business who own outright 350 wagons, 400 trailers and 14 depots. It infuriates me within an inch of my life that in not only my situation but others far worse than me that there is no sick pay available. I do agree it should be at your managers choice. If you got a guy ringing in every other week with a sniffle or a hangover then tough luck get on with it.That's fairly typical of modern day companies I'm sorry to say Dave. Anyway I'm still on 50 hrs a week but hoping to drop that down somewhat when I'm 60 next year.
You're only this way once mate, I lost my brother at 50 years old he was a driver like you. Do what's right for you and your family. If you don't have your health your really don't have much.
Take it easy mate.
Tony.
Bloody hell sounds like your having a good time of it as well. We would love nothing more than to live in France and take an easier way of life but like everything in life it's all down to the money. Once the mortgage is cleared things will be a damn site easier. Until then i can't see a way to back off with the hours I do. Jue works like a dog all the time then comes home and starts again looking after us. There has to be an easier way than this, I just haven't found it yet!Buddy sometimes it takes a little nudge to make you realise what's really important ,just found out today I've got 21 more visits to the hospital in the next couple of months.im not worrying about work .you said with:

. Time to look in the mirror I think.
I want more than anything to have a happy and healthy life for me and my family.
