My cleaning will get done when i get there . Cause I reckon no matter how clean it is just now won't look that way straight off a 300 mile drive.

Tights mate been using them for 20+ years to get flys off my motor. Just dip then in your bucket and go for it. No scratches either.

I'll try that, funny enough I use tights to buff my shoes after polishing, an old soldier gave me that bit of wisdom years ago, works too.
