WOW thats made me cross my legs ! glad to hear your feeling better Bill

Hope it all gets sorted soon mate..

Glad you are now OK. As my wife always says keep your self topped up ! Judging by the plastic water and wine bottles in our bin she indeed keeps herself topped up.Men are terrible when it comes to medical matters leaving things until they become serious. Never put off a problem and there is nothing to stop you seeing a doctor on a private basis if you cant get an appointment. Reduced urine output is also a possible warning of a heart attack. If you ever go to a nursing home you will see mainly females as they tend to seek medical advice. Their husband's probably said "I am alright. Nothing to worry about I will see the doctor next week " But they never did.

I am sure folk do not want to see my todger with a pipe sticking out. Enough to make every man cry =))
Ah go on -don't be a spoilsport =))=))

Glad to hear you're on the mend, that sounds like just what you don't need when away from home. Mind you as far as the Spanish bit is concerned , they probably assumed that your prostate had been checked. In Spain for men over 50 it is a routine check by your doctor according to my Spanish friends when I lived over there. In fact you could get an examination at the Pharmacy if you wanted.
When I came back to the UK I had some similar symptoms and following the advice that you see on TV etc, I went to the Doctor's wondering if I had prostate cancer. They sent me for a blood test, but said it would not really prove anything either way and did not carry out any physical examination. The symptoms carried on and I went back to the Doctor's a couple more times over an 18 month period, still no examination.
Eventually I saw a different Doctor who ,hearing my story, immediately carried out the examination and found I had a very enlarged prostate.
I was referred to a Consultant at the hospital and it was found that it was benign and since then I have been on tablets to improve and control the situation.
The point is,that if they want to prevent this type of cancer, perhaps regular checks for the over 50's like in Spain would help.

Blimey Bill you have been in the wars. Hope the catheter isn't too uncomfortable and you're back to normal soon:thumbsup:

Bloody hell @billz, only just read this thread.....:wideyed:
I am 55, pish like a horse but think I still might go and and get a finger stuck up my ass....:nailbiting:

When i came of holiday i had put 1st 2lb on in 8 days just weighed myself today, i have since been taking in to hospital lost 8lb of water throughout my body so that looks a good sign as now getting back down to the weight i was before all this happened and all i have done is pish in a bag =)) I have passed around 14 litres of Urine in the last 54 hours not bad considering we only pass around 2 to 2.5 litres in 24 hours

That all sounds a bit of a drastic way to lose weight
Glad your starting to head in the right direction :)
All of this just shows the importance of getting yourself checked out whether your a man or a woman.

Just make sure your fit and well for the Peaks cruise, can't do "Bills Peaks Cruise" without Bill :)

Think our family are been put through the mill this last week. Had our son tell us one of the Grandkids has been taken into hospital with a fever and breathing irregular. Looks like i may be visiting the hospital sooner rather than later

I called the Hospital today as i was told when leaving Hospital i would be seeing the Consultant in the next 6 weeks. Guess what ? they told me my appointment is the 8th of June which means i have to have the Catheter for another 6 weeks that will be 10 weeks in total. To say i am not happy is an understatement Fckn NHS
